Butler is one of the best pure passers in SoCal's 2028 class. The 6-foot-1 rising sophomore plays with composure and poise, manages pace and tempo and has that feel for the game where he sees the game a step or two ahead of the defense. Butler is a smooth creator and high IQ table setter for teammates who delivers on-time and on-target passes.

Rolle made the move from Alemany to Heritage Christian and immediately added a wing scorer and playmaker to the Warriors' lineup. At 6-feet-3, Rolle has proved to be an off-bounce and off-catch perimeter shooting threat who can also use his straight-line driving ability to attack closeouts and score at the rim. I think Rolle has a lot of potential to develop into good perimeter defender based on his positional size, length and athleticism.

No. 23 JJ Sati-Greer | Sierra Canyon

Sati-Grier has some dynamic scoring and playmaking ability in his arsenal and most of that starts with his ability to break down defenders with a tight and creative handle in isolation. The 6-foot point guard uses his shiftiness off the bounce to create space from defenders and get into a step-back jumper but he can also slice his way to the painted area and finish with savvy around the basket. Sati-Grier is an instinctual and disruptive defender, especially when up and pressuring in full court situations.

No. 24 [player_tooltip player_id='2948287' first='Zion' last='Lanier'] | Notre Dame

Lanier is probably one of the more under-the-radar scorers in the class. As a freshman last season, the 6-foot-3 shooting guard played JV due to a major logjam of talented players on the varsity level but I'm of the belief he will carve out a role on varsity this season. Lanier has an advanced scoring arsenal complete with shot-making ability from all three levels of the floor. Lanier isn't the quickest or fastest prospect but he uses deceptive change of speed and hesitations to get defenders off-balance which allows him to get into a rhythm pull-up jumper.

No. 25 [player_tooltip player_id='2948288' first='Jakobi' last='Oware'] | Long Beach Poly

Oware is another talented SoCal wing who spent the majority of his freshman season playing on the lower levels at Poly but the wiry 6-foot-5 wing should evolve into a key contributor on the varsity level this season. Oware has all the physical and athletic measureables you look for in a potential Division 1 prospect and, when you add in his smooth jump shooting and quick twitch athleticism, you have an underclass prospect who needs to be tracked closely over the next few seasons.
