[player_tooltip player_id='2444028' first='Broc' last='Johnson'] - kind of a surprise Johnson is on this list considering he started for one of the state's basketball juggernauts in the coalfield region. But, here we are and about to promote him for a third time. Johnson obviously has great size for a guard but shows good instincts as a true wing which is where he would grade out the highest as a prospect given he keeps growing to add to his current 6'4" frame. Broc is an excellent ballhandler who I'd anticipate becoming a primary scorer this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2444036' first='Treyson' last='Metheney'] - is following in brother's footsteps in his style of play. Already being known as a long ball artist, Metheney can handle it too as well as push tempo which he seems to excel in. Looking forward to seeing him play this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869972' first='Malik' last='Powell'] - finally got to see this kid in person at the Hoop Summit event in Morgantown and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed. At 6'3" and hops that give him great explosion, Powell has a chance to become one of Preston's most special players in several years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2724465' first='Jace' last='Watts'] - could be the next big thing out of Scott High in hoops. Coaches seeing him in Morgantown during the Hoop Summit were very impressed with his skill level and feel for the game at a younger age. Watts saw the floor alot last season but as many other 28's he's lilkely to be leaned on for scoring and could push his stock through the roof by March.

[player_tooltip player_id='2849057' first='David' last='Robinson Jr'] - is absolutely a division I athlete, albeit likely in football, regardless a strong and ultra athletic player on the hardwood. Robinson is fluid with incredible balance and strength to make him a serious matchup problem for most teams, even at the AAAA level. Don't be surprised if he isn't the leading scorer in the Kanawha Valley this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767400' first='Braylen' last='Godfrey'] - is such a pleasant surprise when you see him play the first time. He's a broad shouldered 6'4" true power forward who does a great job of using his body to take up as well as create space for himself. Somewhat of a put-back artist last year, we're anticipating an expansion of his game and skills. If Greenbrier East advances to the state tournament, Godfrey will be a big reason why.

[player_tooltip player_id='2345888' first='Quinten' last='Wilson'] - is possibly one of the best athlete's nobody is aware of quite yet. A nice sized wing with good explosion and bounce, Wilson could quickly develop into a force on both ends. With some transfer losses for PHS, Wilson could be relied upon instantly.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815072' first='Parker' last='Smith'] - Smith is yet another player on this list who it feels like has a huge year ahead. Smith has the size and ability to be a special player and is in a program that can allow him to do that. Don't be surprised if he steps into the lead dog role of this program and puts up good numbers consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2691775' first='Jonah' last='Ogbu'] is nothing short of interesting to watch, whether on tape or live. He's very active and doesn't seem to ever really nail down what position he plays, and that's a good thing. I think he does a great job of making sure the ball moves at a rapid pace, getting out in transition and using his great length on the perimeter to defend shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306374' first='Collin' last='Seguin'] is a player I'm looking forward to seeing this year. South Harrison will be an upstart AA program with a couple veterans including Seguin as well as an influx of youth. Seguin will have opportunities to lead this team in several statistical categories including scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588117' first='Lesdiel' last='Machado'] - Machado has maybe the most fun highlight clips to watch of anyone i've seen yet. Nothing short of entertaining. Definitely has a quick and short release on his three and he's a serious tempo setter. Smaller stature, but this kid can flat play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2573693' first='Aliijah' last='Robinson'] - first thing you notice when you put on tape of Robinson is you'll likely see him shooting from deep. However, it's not the makes that impress me as much as the quick and compact shooting motion he has to get to his release point, which in turn allows him to get more shots off and keep defenses honest. He shows a great deal of basketball IQ as well with using his vision to make plays for teammates.
