It's beginning to look like the crop of boys' basketball players in Wisconsin's class of 2026 class will finish with between 10-15 NCAA Division I players and another 12-15 Division II athletes. That's a pretty productive year in comparison to other seasons, but 2027 is looking like it may have even more scholarship players.

Still, for whatever reason, some players in the state's 2026 class remain under recruited. Here's a quick look at five players who fall into that category:

Prep Hoops Ranking: 11

A big name in the Greater Metro Conference, Jones still is hoping to land his first scholarship offer. He has upcoming visits to NCAA Division II schools in Michigan Tech and St. Cloud State, and could end up with offers from both schools. The explosive 6-foot-2 wing guard also has interest from some Division I programs, including Milwaukee and Western Michigan, among others. He had a strong showing on the Puma circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2076501' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] and is a terrific athlete with growing shooting skills. Jones had a strong junior campaign at Germantown, averaging 20.2 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Warhawks.

Prep Hoops Ranking: 19

A late spring injury kept Tiutczenko off the court in June and July. That didn't help his recruitment. But Winona State coach Todd Eisner saw enough of the sweet-shooting big man at the Prep Hoops Battle of the Lakes event in mid May and recently extended a DII offer to Pewaukee's top returning player. Competing for the [program_tooltip program_id='2480703' first='24:' last='UP'] program, Tiutczenko turned in several outstanding performances at Battle of the Lakes. He has excellent size, good strength and extremely impressive skills. Tiutczenko can knock down perimeter shots with the best of them, but also can use his physicality to get to the basket and score in the lane.

Prep Hoops Ranking: 38

Quick-on-quick lead guard who thrives in competitive situations on the basketball court, Tyler was outstanding all spring and summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2563276' first='Jay' last='Academy']. And he was also stellar during his junior season at Milwaukee Juneau, helping the Pioneers to the Gold Division title in the Milwaukee City Conference. Tyler's speed in the open court, his quickness in the half court and his ability to make shots and deliver assists are on display each time he gets on the floor. His size is a bit of a drawback, but he figures to get plenty of looks from scholarship programs this winter while playing alongside [player_tooltip player_id='2194315' first='Dooney' last='Johnson'] in Juneau's exceptionally talented backcourt.

Prep Hoops Ranking: 60

Misslich is ranked No. 60 in the 2026 class, but, at times, he plays like a top 40 prospect. He can really get it going from outside the arc, and has gained confidence going to the basket, using his physical strength and aggressive mindset to score in the paint. Misslich is a gym rat who always is working to get better, and his work ethic figures to help him for his senior year at Franklin and as he goes forward to playing at the collegiate level. Misslich is a guy scholarship schools may want to keep an eye on during the 2025-26 season as he could have a monster campaign for the Sabers.

Prep Hoops Ranking: 83

Closing in on 1,000 career points, Hoeser is a matchup problem for opponents because he has the size and strength to muscle his way to baskets in the paint while also possessing the skill and confidence to go away from the basket and make perimeter shots. He has not played club basketball so his exposure is a bit limited, but college coaches who make the trek to Neillsville this winter to watch Hoeser compete will not be disappointed as he can play. Hoeser averaged 17.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocked shots as a junior for the Warriors.
