June's Team Rankings

#1 Timpview, #2 Olympus #3 Springville #4 Pleasant Grove #5 Alta #6 Cyprus #7 Bountiful #8 Wasatch #9 Viewmont #10 Woods Cross

July: End Of Summer Top 10

#1 Timpview

When it comes to talent Timpview has all you need to win it all. They have the height, they have the guard play and they have the experience. [player_tooltip player_id='1278448' first='Dean' last='Rueckert'] is a rising player in the National Rankings. He projects well at the next level and in a few years he should be in the rotation of any team in the country. [player_tooltip player_id='1278505' first='Mason' last='Ford'] is playing some really good basketball and so is [player_tooltip player_id='1960159' first='Lincoln' last='Holcombe']. Look for these two to really step up their game. Will Openshaw has been improving and he has a lot of upside at the next level. You can see him being a very good player this season as he knows what he needs to do to impact the game. If they can gel wit the new system and keep that ball moving and also get it to the right spots when they need to they could be the team to beat.

#2 Highland

I have really enjoyed watching what Coach Chris Jones has been building over at Highland. The Rams have always had talent but it seems like they are getting the best out of those top tier kids and some of the role players as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1278440' first='Soren' last='Ries'] has come along nicely and you can expect him to be more aggressive this season and if he can attack the rim with strength he could open a new aspect of his game that we haven't seen in a consistent basis. [player_tooltip player_id='1278450' first='Isaiah' last='Drisdom'] has been great the last 3 years and he is set to have a solid senior year. Highland will have multiple players impact the game this coming season. Just stay tuned.

#3 Olympus

It is always hard to bet against Olympus because regardless who they have on the roster they find ways to win. They will lean heavily on [player_tooltip player_id='1278502' first='Gavin' last='Lowe'] and as they should. Lowe has a lot of moments where it is just too hard to stop that kid. He competes at a high level and he hits big shots when they matter. A player on the team that you need to really be ready for is [player_tooltip player_id='1278441' first='Caden' last='Jackson'], this kid has been very good at his role the past few years and this season he is going to have a bigger role, so expect him to be tough.

#4 Springville

Springville has one of the best bigs in the country in [player_tooltip player_id='1278439' first='Jamyn' last='Sondrup'], and he is ready to take Springville on a deep run. [player_tooltip player_id='2400690' first='Sam' last='Nadauld'] could be a big help for this team trying to make run. [player_tooltip player_id='1278449' first='Mason' last='Hansen'] has been solid and he could have a breakout season. [player_tooltip player_id='1724426' first='Swift' last='Hall'] is a player that is a bit off the radar but he can play and he could be huge for this team.

#5 Orem

Orem lost a lot but they have some pieces coming back. [player_tooltip player_id='2306605' first='Simeon' last='Suguturaga'] has been one of the best two way playing wings in the country on the EYBL Circuit. He has pulled a few D1 offers and this coming season he should be the go to guy on the floor. He will be joined by [player_tooltip player_id='1724358' first='Troy' last='Kaufusi'], a player that blew up this past summer as a fierce three-level scorer. He has the ability to put his head down and scorer the ball.

#6 Pleasant Grove

PG has had a solid summer and they had a good showing at Section 7. Brenna Blackett when healthy helps this team a lot and if he can stay healthy he makes them a contender. A player you should really keep an eye on is [player_tooltip player_id='1598261' first='Jaxon' last='Brown'], he has a chance to improve his recruiting, he is good. [player_tooltip player_id='1978893' first='Milo' last='Johansson'] is a talented player on the team. [player_tooltip player_id='1724363' first='Preston' last='White'] has been developing very well and we have seen a very differen [player_tooltip player_id='2889131' first='Cooper' last='Crockett'] this time around from last season.

#7 Alta

Alta lost one of their best players to injury and they will need a lot more out of [player_tooltip player_id='1278438' first='Dash' last='Reiser']., he is more than capable of taking Alta on a deep run. Caleb Anderson and Hayden Anderson could really step their game up for sure. Ty Mahe will be a player that will need to help them inside.

#8 Cyprus

Really like a few of the pieces over at Cyprus. Beckham Bayless is a player that should be on your radar and so should Koli Fosita. Fosita is a very good payer and he is shooting the ball very well. Alen Hadzalijadgic is a very good developing young player. Cyprus runs good sets and they can scor ethe ball. They will be tough.

#9 Bountiful

Bountiful has a few pieces that could really help them this season keep things rolling with a new head coach. [player_tooltip player_id='1439713' first='Davey' last='Howe'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2732870' first='Lincoln' last='Smith'] are two players to be aware of as they both have next level potential. Bountiful could be a sleeper team in 5A.

#10 Wasatch

Speaking of sleeper teams in 6A you have to consider Wasatch in that category and a few others that did not make the rankings biut having a player that is a game changer like [player_tooltip player_id='1786751' first='JJ' last='Serre']. Serre could easily be in the 20 PPG category. Pairing him with a few shooters and slasher will just open things up for him. [player_tooltip player_id='1960164' first='Nate' last='Hinckley'] is a good guard up there and he should be in the double digits this time around when it comes to his scoring. [player_tooltip player_id='1809908' first='Carsen' last='Behnke'] is another really good next level type of skill set PG. This team could make a run.
