Top new wings from 2028 Rankings Update Part 2

Our 2028 rankings update saw almost 20 players get added to our list for the first time! In this article, I'll break down four wings who made their debut this week.    Taylor was a standout at the Prep Hoops freshman showcase last August and also really impressed me with his Midwest Cincy MHC squad in the spring. A fluid mover on the wing, Taylor can change pace and direction when attacking closeouts and has the length to score at the rim. I also was impressed by his natural defensive instincts and how he moved without the basketball in the half-court. Moeller is stacked in the 2028 and 2029 classes so not sure how much we'll get to see Taylor this winter but he has an extremely bright future ahead.     A teammate with Taylor on the Midwest Cincy 15 U squad, Trimbach was one of the top freshman scorers in the state of Ohio last season. Trimbach led his conference in scoring at 23 points per game on 50/41/74 splits from the floor. Obviously a talented scorer at the small town high school level based on these numbers, Trimbach was a floor spacer off the ball with his grassroots team, using his positional size to space the floor. I also liked his natural feel with the ball in his hands, not forcing the issue. Name to know from the greater Dayton area, which has some top talent in the 2028 class.     Wings who are athletic, tough, play defense and make shots are incredibly valuable and that's what Reed-Davis does. Whether it's with Hilliard Bradley or [program_tooltip program_id='2076317' first='Midwest' last='Basketball Club 3SSB'], Reed-Davis impacts winning on both ends of the court. His length allows him to defend up positionally in ways you might not expect based on his height. I like that Reed-Davis plays his role and doesn't try and do crazy stuff with the basketball to show off some ball handling ability. Simplicity can sometimes have the greatest impact on winning and Reed-Davis ability to make shots and defend are simple skills that many players cannot master.     Groveport Madison made their deepest playoff run in decades last season and talent is still abundant in their program despite graduating a deep senior class. One of those top returners is Wagner who is a power athlete on the wing who wants to use his physicality to bully you at the point of attack. Wagner plays with pace as a ball handler and can make live dribble passes to teammates sitting on the block. Already one of the more physically advanced players in central Ohio's 2028 class and should play a featured role for the Cruisers as they look to win a second straight district title.
