7/16/25: Incredible on-ball defense. DJ guards the opponent's point guard effectively, which makes the team so, so tall. Bartlett tried the same thing last month at BCAT Hoopfest and it worked. Okoth did not show off any outside shooting. That will probably be his limiting factor long-term. Even though DJ is thin, he possesses above average strength. In the second half against NY Rens, Okoth took a bruising foul in traffic and finished anyway.

7/16/25: Son of an NBA hooper, Erick Dampier Jr. is generally regarded as a Top 10 player in the entire nation. He looks all of 6-foot-9, potentially 6-foot-10. Unlike his father Dampier Jr. is moderately nimble and able to rebound outside of his area. Dampier Jr. might be the best defensive rebounder in the entire 2028 class. He does not move like a modern wing, rather a Karl Anthony-Towns-type. Fusion 15u gets him a lot of touches, both out high and around the rim. Facing the NY Rens they did not get him post feeds much, which was a waste.
