5 Guards debuting in the 2027 rankings update

With the 2027 rankings update dropping this Wednesday, a new wave of prospects is set to make their debut. Some are moving up from the watch list, while others are players we're finally getting a closer look at, and they've earned it. Whether it's through consistent production, growth in their game, or standout performances, these players have worked their way into the conversation and are ready to be recognized among the state's best. He put up 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game as a sophomore all while defending and competing hard. He gets to his spots as a downhill threat and makes plays on both ends. After being unranked last time, he's earned his spot with production and grit. Golden's success will run through players all playing hard each time out and he does just that.     Stanley's multi-sport background shines on the hardwood. He's an explosive scorer who finished in double digits in nearly every game as he caused havoc defensively with multiple 4+ steal outings. He thrives in transition, scores in bunches, and leads his young group with confidence. His blend of athleticism, energy, and scoring touch makes him a breakout name heading into next season and he jumps onto our Top 100 in the rankings.     After time on the watch list, Barnes earned his spot in dominant fashion at Colorado Live. Known for his defense, he now looks like a true two-way threat. He defends with physicality, scores through contact, and breaks defenders down in isolation. His ability to set the tone on both ends stood out, and he's become one of the most well-rounded guards in this class that will surprise plenty this upcoming season.
