IBCA Top 100 Showcase – Ramsey’s Under-the-Radar Stars

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The annual IBCA Top 100 Showcase took place on Friday afternoon at Ben Davis High School welcoming in many of the state's top returning prospects. With the second scholastic live period also getting underway on Friday at Noon there were dozens of college coaches from all across the country representing all levels at this event. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage as well. Small college programs like his positional size on the perimeter paired with his high percentage shooting. Ferguson is a knockdown three-point shooter, but his athleticism and ability to score some off of the bounce is a bigger part of his game than we probably realized previously. His name came up in some conversations with college coaches after a very strong showing on Friday. Gardner is one of the best shooters in the state of Indiana and really showed it off on Friday. He is getting better and better at making shots on the move which will be key at the next level. There was a tough, quick release three-point shot behind a handoff that really got some buzz going from the college coaches section. The 6'9" center is more than just a big body though. He has solid footwork in the post for his size and a soft finishing touch. Horvath rebounds his position very well and does a good job of being "in the way" at the rim defensively. Now, the long, lean, left-handed guard is showcasing his skills on a statewide basis. The 6'3"-6'4" playmaker looked very comfortable with the ball in his hands consistently creating scoring opportunities for himself and others off of the bounce. His size and length in the backcourt make him a difficult matchup for a lot of defenders. Pairing that with what has always been an impressive skill set makes him an intriguing prospect and also allowed for him to standout in stretches on Friday at the Top 100 Showcase. Young is pretty shifty and athletic with the ball in his hands doing a great job of creating separation to launch pull-up jump shots.
