Johnson found his rhythm on Saturday and got going as a scorer for an Indy Heat squad that requires him to create a majority of their offense in the half-court through Johnson's pick and roll and isolation ability. When Johnson can get defenders on his hip and stop or euro step to create space, he's at his best. Liking the floater shot to avoid shot blockers, Johnson showed soft touch and tough shot-making ability with a few of his future college coaches in attendance throughout the weekend.

One of the top scorers on the EYCL circuit, Miles was aggressive and using his size and strength to overpower defenders. I've noticed Miles has started to transform his body and add even more muscle. A high motor player who wants to get to the rim, Miles plays through contact and isn't afraid to draw fouls. If Miles can slow the game down for himself, his scoring ability and offensive gravity will allow him to be more efficient and generate even more open looks for his teammates. Impressive to see such gaudy scoring numbers on the EYCL circuit.

I caught the rivalry game between the NY Rens and PSA Cardinals and it's safe to say there is no love lost between those two programs. I really liked the activity Hines played with on both ends of the court, finishing with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Defensively, Hines protected the rim without fouling and was credited with nine blocked shots! I also was impressed by the soft hands Hines showed and some strong screens that he set. Impressive production for a center on one of the best grassroots teams in the country.

Team Final looked like a well-oiled machine this weekend going 3-1 with their star players performing at a consistent level. In a win over JL3, the trio of Jackson, Luca Foster and Aidan Derkack combined for 57 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. I wanted to spotlight Jackson because his ball movement on the wing really stood out as he ended the game with seven assists and seemed to make the right basketball play over and over again. It was refreshing to see a team with a handful of high major talents move the basketball and make sure everybody ate.

I've been a big fan of Coleman for a while and shooting 7/8 in a victory over your bitter EYBL rival is one way to continue to boost your stock even more. Coleman is a guard who can play on or off the ball and can flat out make shots. Whether it was spotting up in the corner or isolating on a big when he got a switch, Coleman was efficient and didn't force the issue. I also thought Coleman showed excellent chemistry with point guard Trey Pearson and also have to give a shoutout to JJ Andrews, who scored 32 points on 13/21 efficiency from the field.
