Abakar oozes potential! This Bruin is a long and athletic lefty and a mismatch nightmare as he can put up points from 3 levels. Abakar will slash, post, and hit jumpers. He can also protect the rim and clean up the glass.   How is his shot selection, does he get stops, is he scoring from every level?   Austin Dryburgh (2027) |6'6 F| Moorhead/NLBA   WHY?   He was a key reserve player for the Spuds who took 5th at State in AAAA. Dryburgh works his tail off on the glass, is a solid finisher around the hoop, an improved jump shooter, solid team defender who communicates at a high level.   How does he shoot it from the outside, is a he legit threat from 3?   [player_tooltip player_id='1798694' first='Brooklan' last='Bruce'] (2026) |5'11 G| Grand Forks Central/[program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United'] 17U   WHY?   Bruce was one of the best offensive players in AA this season and he was named to the All-EDC Team. Looked very good at the Comets Shootout. Brooklan has all the moves and shake to beat the D. Smooth & talented shot-creator.   How does he look on D, does he keep slashers out of the paint?   Colt Keiser (2026) |6'6 F| Gregory/Impact 17u-1   WHY?   Keiser helped the Gorillas win 20 games this season. He is an excellent athlete that college coaches will want to take a look at and you have to be intrigued with his length. Colt versatile on defense & a legit rim protector.   How are his skills and does he score outside of the paint?   [player_tooltip player_id='1911439' first='Connor' last='Relf'] (2026) |5'9 G| Sioux Falls Roosevelt/Impact 17U-2   WHY?   Relf is a quick, speedy, and fiery ball player. He handles the rock well and has notable skills. Look for Connor to be a serious shooting threat this weekend. Besides being a talented offensive player, Relf is a hustler and hard worker.   As an undersized guard, how does he hold up on defense?   David Mack (2027) |6'0 G| Moorhead/NLBA   WHY?   STAR player for the Spuds who took 5th Place at the AAAA State Tourney. Uber-skilled, great feel & pace, outstanding at gett the D off-balance. Hooped with [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] in the past, he is a DUDE. Serious D1 football recruit.   Is he the best player on the court when NLBA is playing? It is very likely.   [player_tooltip player_id='1656545' first='Dylan' last='Runestad'] (2026) |6'0 G| Baltic/Impact 17U-2   WHY?   We expect him the run the show as the PG and be the straw that stirs the drink for Impact. I am excited to see how he handles pressure from athletic opponents. Runestad is a smart and heady playmaker who makes others better.   I know he can pass & set up others, how does he score the rock?   [player_tooltip player_id='1534507' first='Michael' last='Hamilton'] (2026) |6'0 G| Fargo South/BTG   WHY?   Mikey is a big, strong, and athletic guard. I have seen him shoot the lights out from beyond the arc, he will be a hot-hand to keep eyes on this weekend. He is excellent in the catch-n-shoot game & also has a sweet floater.   How do his handles look & is he setting up others for good looks?   [player_tooltip player_id='2055924' first='Miken' last='Mattson'] (2026) |6'1 G| Valley City/D1 MN 17U Gold   WHY?   Mattson had a breakout high school season with the Hi-Liners and was named to the All-Region 1 Team in Class A. Miken is a volume shooter and consistent gunslinger (43 3FG%). He plays fast, has a quick trigger & deep range.   Is he cashing in from 3's, forcing TO's, and dropping dimes?   Ryder Johnson (2026) |6'4 G| Groton/Impact 17U-1   WHY?   Johnson has a rockstar season, he led the Tigers to the State Tournament and was named to the All-State Team in Class A. I like his length, shooting ability, passing, handles, cutting, hoops IQ, finishing, and all-around playmaking. Ryder is a baller.
