On Saturday, April 19th, I attended the Zero Gravity Home For Easter one-day tournament. I spent the entire day at Dana Barros Basketball Club, watching the 9th grade division in the morning and the varsity division at night.

Egbuonu was completely dominant on the court all day. There wasn't a facet of the game he didn't completely control and he did it with composure even though he had opposing players and coaches talking to him all game. He's a ridiculous athlete with really impressive hops off of both one foot and two, and so much upper body strength. He's a menace going downhill in transition with his combination of physicality, size and length, but he also has good control of his body. Egbuonu has skills, too, and plays really hard. Coach's dream. Definite D1 kid with high major potential.

Jenkins was his usual self on Saturday. He got into the paint at ease and finished amongst the trees, but he also got to his midrange and hit some three-pointers as well. He's so comfortable with the ball in his hands and I'm not sure there's anyone I would be more confident handling the ball under pressure in the region than him — so strong and smart with it. He also defends at such a high level and is a terror to dribble against. Pleasure to watch, especially when he got a fire lit under him by the opposing from ATR. You don't want to get him fired up.

This was my first time seeing Te Ratana and I was very impressed. Even in a setting where they won by 50, he was playing so hard and doing all of the little things consistently. He rebounds the ball very well for his size because of his incredible hops and toughness in the paint, and he attacks the paint with ferocity and strength on the offensive end. He's got a beautiful stroke that looks clean and compact coming out of his hands. He'll be a super important piece for this BABC 17U squad moving forward if I had to guess, and he should have a great year at Darrow next HS season.

Wow, Geremia can really shoot it. His role on this BABC squad is clearly to move without the ball in order to find gaps in the defense and get open three-point looks. He won't wow you with above-the-rim athleticism or quickness, but his shot is absolutely beautiful and he can get it off in a variety of scenarios. He also showed off the ability to attack closeouts once the defense started overplaying his shot. He will likely find a low-level D1 fit with his ability to shoot the ball and play within a team concept.

Ogbeide was one of the few ATR guys that could compete with the physicality and athleticism of BABC. He was able to get multiple offensive rebounds and hold his own on the defensive end when it came to battling inside. His shot also looks decent from the free-throw line, though he needs to improve it if he wants to be able to consistently shoot the three ball. The 6-foot-6 forward could probably get some D2 looks as a result of his frame and athleticism.
