Midwest Cincy MHC has a really nice 15 U group and I caught them in a blowout victory to open up Midwest Mania. I liked how Taylor moved on the court, covering a lot of ground and fluidly changing directions. A wing who can handle the basketball and swing passes across the court, Taylor helps push the pace. Taylor was a standout at our Prep Hoops Freshman showcase and continued to impress in an organized 5 on 5 setting last weekend.

One of the top scorers in Ohio's 2028 class, Trimbach hit the ground running at the varsity level and led his conference in scoring at 23 PPG. A high feel player on the offensive end, Trimbach has good hands and an advanced understanding of moving without the ball to make himself available. Able to score on the short roll to the rim or pop out to the 3-point line, Trimbach is skilled with good positional size and a high IQ. One of the top players in the Dayton area for the class of 2028, Trimbach is on his way to becoming a household name.

Midwest MHC 15 U got a nice win to end their weekend on Sunday and Edwards impressed with a well-rounded offensive game. Able to create his own shot, Edwards hit a tough step-back mid-range jumper that caught my eye. Knocking down a few 3-pointers as well, Edwards is a perimeter shot maker on a team filled with confident floor spacers. I also was impressed with how well Edwards competed on the glass against taller opposition. One of the top 2028 prospects in southeast Ohio, Edwards could be the next star to come out of Logan.

Another Dayton area prospect with some interesting upside, Brewer is a high IQ wing forward who made some nice passes to cutters and shooters for open looks. On such a young Valley View squad, Brewer got some good experience on varsity and could be a breakout player as a Sophomore with their 2027 talent to build with as a strong connective piece who makes offense easier for his teammates.

Crummey was really productive on Sunday as he just flat out competed in the paint with some contested layups and second chance points. A skilled forward who used pivots, pump fakes and could pass the ball to cutters our out of double teams. Despite being a lefty jump shooter, Crummey was more comfortable finishing with his right hand at the rim. One of the more interesting bigs from northwest Ohio, Crummey will be a name to monitor over the next few years.

One of the bigger guards in Ohio frame wise, Chivers is a very strong player who can body skinnier guards in the paint. Wanting to get downhill off the dribble and attack, Chivers doesn't get pushed off his spots and can finish off one or two feet and earns a lot of trips to the foul line. After averaging 3.6 PPG as a freshman on varsity, look for Chivers to be one of the lead engines for the Wayne train next season.

After falling behind big early Burton helped spark a comeback where [program_tooltip program_id='2320052' first='All' last='Ohio Red'] made it a one possession game before falling in the final minute. Another strong guard, Burton is physical on both ends of the court and does a nice job of playing on balance after shaking off defenders. Burton turned defense into offense with a few steals that turned into layups and also knocked down a couple pull-up jumpers. The Lima area is always a basketball hotbed for talent and Burton is another young stud to watch from the bean town.
