+57 (#74 to #17)
Jones, a versatile forward out of the Williston Northampton School, shined during the scholastic period, showing impressive two-way versatility. He’s physically advanced for a 2028, with impressive strength and athleticism. He rebounds both in and out of his area, can protect the rim from the help side, and has the versatility needed to guard all five positions. He’s hard to guard in transition, where he uses his frame to finish through contact at the rim. He can attack as a straight line driver, takes advantage of smaller defenders in the post, and has a nose for the ball on the offensive glass.

Jones was a standout performer during the scholastic period and impresses with his physicality and two-way versatility. The Williston Northampton forward is as physically developed as any 2028 in the region and packs both physicality and athleticism into his 6’5″ frame. He’s a tenacious rebounder, particularly on the offensive end of the floor, and has the ability to guard both in space and around the rim. He does a nice job of contesting vertically at the rim and uses his length to his advantage against taller opponents. Offensively, he has the ability to score in the paint, but also shows some developing ball-skills out to the perimeter, when he can go by slow footed bigs in space.

A 6’5″ forward for Williston Northampton, Jones’ physical presence for a ’28 is striking. He’s built like a high linebacker physically, he impresses with his fluidity of movement on both ends of the floor. His offensive game is farther along than I had thought, as he showed the ability to make plays off the bounce from the perimeter, while also scoring in the mid-range. He can play out of the dunker spot, has a nose for the ball on the offensive glass, and is a quality decision maker out of short rolls. His versatility extends to the defensive end of the floor, where I saw him defend scoring wings, lengthy forwards, and physical posts. Expect him to have a strong summer before showing out as one of the most impressive sophomores in the NESCAC.
