Save for some showcase and unsigned senior events, the high school careers of the 2025 class have come to an exciting close. They pleasantly exceeded my expectations and I'm excited to follow them in their future endeavors. So this is a send-off and my attempt to sort out their performances from this season:

Bernikow successfully made the transformation from a bouncy off-ball guard to two-way nightmare for the Ducks. When they needed a defensive stop, he would force a turnover or even come out of nowhere to block a shot. Furthermore, Bernikow was undoubtedly the best guard in the state due to how he carried his team on offense. If the defense was blitzing him, he ran off of screens for movement threes. If that wasn't open, he attacked off the catch. The Millersville commit always gave Odessa a chance to win.

A complimentary scorer a season ago, Hunter Jr demonstrated his capacity to create for himself a higher volume during the summer and fall. But when the winter came, he scaled down some and became even more efficient. Hunter Jr knocked down threes in rhythm and generated open shots with 1-2 dribbles, while also crashing the boards and making plays on defense. By rounding out his game, he proved he can be a positive contributor on the floor for a D2 or Low-Major D1, regardless of whether or not his shot he's getting designed touches.

Lloyd Jr's maturation since arriving at St. Andrew's is inspiring. No longer a baby deer, he maximized his physical tools as the backbone of the Saints offense and their anchor on defense. His presence was always felt, whether he was dunking over everyone or beating shots off the backboard. Lloyd Jr exerted his will within the paint, never taking a play off. And the best part about it is that he still has room to improve. High academic D1s should be in hot pursuit.

Winning the state chip and earning MaxPreps Player of the Year were the culmination of all the work Taylor put in over the arc of his high school career. He went from this lanky wing as an underclassmen, to a read-and-react havoc creator as a junior, to the heart and soul of his team as a senior. As he grew into his body, things slowed down for him and he extended the range on his jumper. In Sanford's biggest games, there Taylor was, snatching putback dunks or rejecting shots to give his team the edge. If he keeps his head down and continues to put in the work, he has a chance to be successful as UD and beyond.

Nobody played with more heart or a hotter motor this year than Webb. A junkyard dog during his junior campaign, he played with a battery in his back as a part-time starter who thrived on the glass. As a senior, Webb kept that same energy and elevated his play on both ends of the floor. He made splash plays at every level of the defense, got busy in transition, and cashed threes off the catch. His passion for the game was infectious and laid a solid foundation for Dub P's young core.
