Prep Hoops Indiana Regional Preview – Class 3A South

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were 403 teams that started the journey to Gainbridge Fieldhouse last week. Then, on Saturday, we crowned 64 Sectional Champions. We will cut that field in half once again this coming Saturday in the Regional round. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout Sectional week and will be hitting a handful of different gyms for Regional action as well. As we did prior to Sectional week, we will spend this week previewing the 32 Regional matchups that will be played on Saturday, March 15th. Both teams have done a ton of winning this season and even met earlier in February which saw Guerin Catholic defeat New Palestine 66-51. This time around, this game should be much closer than a 15-point gap. Both Guerin Catholic and New Palestine each have a star player and Indiana All-Star candidate in [player_tooltip player_id='1297068' first='Julius' last='Gizzi'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2053658' first='Bryson' last='Cardinal']. Guerin Catholic got here by winning Sectional 25 going through Lebanon, Brebeuf Jesuit, and Tri-West while New Pal go through Rushville, Beech Grove, and Indianapolis Roncalli to win Sectional 28. This game will come down to which stars get the most help around them. Will Guerin Catholic once again get the best of New Pal or will the Dragons get some redemption? </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Regional</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are some fun matchups in Class 3A South but when it comes to an under-the-radar one, I really like the matchup of Jennings County vs. Princeton at Southridge. The Panthers of Jennings County was able to come out as the underdog winner at Sectional 29 beating Batesville and South Dearborn and will still come into this Reginal matchup with only a 12-14 record. Princeton, on the other hand, has been one of the more dominant teams in all of Class 3A this season and took care of business vs Gibson Southern and Washington to win Sectional 31.
