Prep Hoops Indiana Regional Preview – Class 2A South

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There were 403 teams that started the journey to Gainbridge Fieldhouse last week. Then, on Saturday, we crowned 64 Sectional Champions. We will cut that field in half once again this coming Saturday in the Regional round. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout Sectional week and will be hitting a handful of different gyms for Regional action as well. As we did prior to Sectional week, we will spend this week previewing the 32 Regional matchups that will be played on Saturday, March 15th. You an honestly say that South Ripley has been the very best team in the Class 2A all season having only one loss up to the point and absolutely dominating Sectional 45 with their wins over Brown County and Southwestern (Hanover). In all honesty however, this may be the toughest game that South Ripley has faced all season with Forest Park. The Rangers got here by toughing out wins vs South Spencer, North Posey, and Evansville Mater Dei in Sectional 48. Regardless of the outcome in this Regional, whoever wins this one is going to earn it. Expect this to be a final possession type of game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Regional</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Like it was stated above, Class 2A South has four really good matchups. For the under-the-radar matchup, think that spotlight should go on Parke Heritage vs. Centerville at Martinsville. The key matchup here to watch will come in the backcourt with Schelsky and Keiser going at it, which should be extremely competitive to watch. Both teams have done a lot of winning this season up to this point so you know each other them are built for an extended run. Centerville came out of Sectional 44 by defeating Union County, Winchester, and Northeastern while Parke Heritage won Sectional 41 going through North Putnam, Green Castle and South Vermillion.
