Tonight we head to Milan High School for a couple of regional semifinal battles. The Adrian Maples went head to head with The Rams of Flat Rock in a physical three point shootout. In the end, an outstanding defensive effort from the Maples punched their ticket to the regional final. Following that was a high paced, run and gun, action filled game between The Summit Academy Dragons and The Westfield Warriors. There was no fairytale ending for the Warriors however as they were unable to slay these Dragons.

Jaxson has odd shooting mechanics but unwavering confidence in his shot, hitting multiple big- time threes in crunch time. Defensively Jaxson battled and kept his man in front of him without fouling, while he forced turnovers, and rarely got beat on the ball. Whether it was a hard earned stop ,or a dagger three, Francis was stoic, never getting too high and never getting too low. Look out for Jaxson to be the lead guy for Adrian next year.

Antonio plays the true point guard. He limited turnovers, controlled the pace, got his team into their offence, and made the smart play. Brown didn't try to do too much by attempting to force passes through lanes that didn't exist, instead he was poised and patient. Antonio played a heady game, finding his scorers and jumping passing lanes on the other end.

Carson wasn't much of a factor on the offensive end but that didn't stop him from making a noteworthy impact in tonight's game. Carson was tasked with guarding one of the best scorers in the state and he did so tremendously. Dekeyser played a hard-nosed brand of defense and impressively did so the entirety of the game. The ability to play a role that won't show up in the highlights is hard for many, but Carson seemingly bought into this role and delivered.

Plain and simple, Cyrus can knock down the three ball. Standing at 6'4 with good length, he can rise up and shoot over anybody. Goins showed the ability to shoot off the dribble as well as coming off of a screen. Cyrus didn't let a dry first half stop him from coming out and drilling big ones late in the game. Goins finished the game with a twenty point double double, something I imagine happens quite often. If he's not already, get this kid on your radar, he's going to be the man for Flat Rock next year.

In a fast paced, turnover-ridden game, Amir was able to slow it down and control the pace. With a very quick first step, Amir got down hill and displayed the ability to finish in a crowded paint. Perryman is willing and able to knock one down from three. With a nice looking shot, he can't be left alone beyond the arc. Amir played with composure while not getting left behind in an up and down the court kind of game.
