Class of 2019: Climbers Part II
The time has come to adjust the Class of 2019 rankings.
If you want to look at the complete rankings, smash here.
Climbers are either players previously undervalued or possibly players that developed their game in the last few months.
These players represent the next six highest landing climbers (upward movement listed next to arrow on right of name). Here is Part I.
#11 Kameron Jones ⇑5
Everybody in Memphis really likes Kameron Jones’ game. He climbs from #16 to #11 and deserves more college looks. Taller players can get stuck under the rim in high school, but Jones projects as a college wing.
#12 Devan Cambridge ⇑9
Seemingly every week the Pope John Paul II-transfer racks up a new college offer. Cambridge plays above the rim with regularity. The lean high-flier is coming in to his own with Believe Prep. They are giving him a chance to showcase his bounce and handle. Cambridge’s ceiling is undetermined.
#16 Dionte Ware ⇑20
Cleveland’s Dionte Ware punishes foes with forceful scoring and relentless rebounding. Ware boasts three D1 offers, but should add several more by spring.
#17 KJ Johnson ⇑8
Still thin, KJ Johnson’s resume is anything but thin. The Marshall County junior throttled Franklin Road Academy with 46 points late December. He also lit up Stratford for an entire quarter. Johnson’s shooting touch ranks among the best in the class. The lefty desperately needs more strength to reach his lofty potential.
#20 Grant Ledford ⇑13
Tennessee Bobcat Head Coach Kevin Feltner tipped @PrepHoopsTN off to Grant in July. The junior was starting for Coach Feltner and succeeding playing up with 17u. Twice PrepHoopsTN featured Ledford with a recruiting update. Keep an eye on Ledford’s scoring totals all winter. Production is not a problem.
#34 Reese Glover ⇑5
Reese Glover’s (Franklin) shortcoming is that he is short. It takes a full half of evaluating to get it, but Glover’s scoring acumen belongs in the top 20 in his class. Based on his November success Glover attracted evaluations from Lipscomb and Belmont.
