Brewster Prep traveled to Kimball Union Academy on Saturday, February 22nd. Brewster kept the game close and even held the lead for a decent portion of the game before KUA's athleticism and shooting were too much for them to handle. KUA won 67-59.

Henderson is a strong-bodied, 6-foot-6 wing who looks to be very college-ready. On drives to the rim, he holds his line incredibly well and is simply too built to be moved off his spot. He isn't an amazing vertical athlete, but his strength allows him to get to spots on the court. Most impressive, though, was Henderson's shooting ability, which really popped in his matchup against Brewster. He hit a bunch of three pointers that allowed KUA to pull away, and he has a very nice-looking shot that should translate well to the next level; he's always on-balance and shot-ready. The combination of size, shooting and strength will work well for him at Siena next year.

Williams is electric on the basketball court, and “mouse” is a pretty fitting nickname for him. Yes, he's short – only 6-foot to be exact – but he's ridiculously quick and crafty with the ball in his hands. He's basically a walking paint touch; whether it be in the half court or in transition, Williams is too difficult to keep out of the lane and once he gets there, he does an excellent job finding teammates for open looks. He also has a great-looking three-point shot and in-the-gym range. His size is probably limiting his recruitment, but scholarship coaches absolutely need to take a chance on him. 4.0 GPA too!

Flowers is a super intriguing long-term prospect. He's 6-foot-8 and is a very good vertical athlete, which is often enough to earn a D1 scholarship these days. He certainly struggles to stay under control at times and still looks like he's learning his body, but he's a solid rim protector at the hoop and looks like he could continue to develop his handles to the point where he's a high-level wing in a couple years. Flowers could be a late bloomer, but I would definitely take a shot on him if I were a D1 program. He has the foundation for a high major wing – nice shooting stroke, good handle, and good athleticism – which should excite tons of coaches.

Gordon is a very controlled point guard who runs the show quite well for Brewster. He's quick and has an excellent handle, and he makes all the right passes and plays for his teammates. He's also a very good outside shooter who can shoot off the catch or can get to his step-back and make shots off the dribble. He plays with a lot of energy, enthusiasm and joy and is the exact kind of guy you want running your team. Size will likely limit his recruitment, but Gordon is only a junior and should absolutely be on a college roster in a couple years.

Hutchison is another strong-bodied wing with great size (6-foot-6). He can get a bit shot-happy at times, but he's able to score at all three levels and is a really solid athlete at the rim. He also made a couple nice passes against KUA that surprised me; he has solid vision and a willingness to pass. Once he can put his whole game together, I think he could be a super intriguing scholarship-level prospect. And, good news for Hutchison, he's only a junior and has another couple years to figure it out.
