An exciting playoff matchup is set to take place this Tuesday evening (02/25) between the Crowley Eagles and the Guyer Wildcats. Below are some key players you'll want to make sure you keep your eyes on throughout the battle.

Salyn is a lengthy, strong shooting guard that's incredibly hard for any defense to contain. He's extremely versatile on the offensive side of the ball and can beat his defender in a plethora of ways - finishing through contact in the paint, elevating over his man for an open jumper or layup, or working his way past his opposition for an easy path to the rim with his impressive patience and ballhandling. His shooting form is polished and his jumper has a beautiful arc and rotation on its way to the net. He's active on the glass on both ends with what seems like springs in his shoes, he's got an exceptional vertical burst I haven't seen in many other players. Briggs is going to make a huge impact in any game he plays, and I'd expect no different this week against Guyer.

DJ is a solid, tenacious combo guard that can give his opponent fits on the defensive end. He has great hands and is incredibly skilled at picking his opponent's pocket without creating contact. He's always in front of his man and loves to create havoc and chaos as a defender, which is extremely fun to watch. He has dangerous range on the offensive side and can get incredibly hot from beyond the arc in a hurry. When his defenders realize how accurate his jumper is, he'll utilize his quick first step to pump fake and breeze by them for an easy look or quick dish to a streaking teammate. His awareness if off the charts and he's talented at working his way into the best decisions available to him and his squad. I expect Majors to be a major factor against Crowley.

Kamden is a quick, skilled combo guard that's nearly impossible for any coach to game plan against. I've seen him play live on a few different occasions, and I feel like I walk away a little more blown away each time. He fills up the stat sheet in a hurry - racking up steals consistently, beasting on the glass on both ends of the floor, making smart passes to teammates, and annihilating his defenders with his footwork and ballhandling on his way to bucket after bucket. He works well with his bigs in pick and rolls and is nearly impossible to stop in those scenarios because of his speed and IQ. McGilveary tends to put on quite a show and I'd expect the same against Guyer this week.

Tyler is a strong, skilled center that puts on a show and makes his teammates better in a multitude of ways. His size and confidence make him a force in the paint and he will dunk on his defender's head if he senses and sort of doubt or passivity on their part. His footwork is incredibly impressive for a big man and he can run the break like a guard or forward would. He's an imposing presence when defending his rim and can rack up blocks quickly on his opponents. He's a smart passer and he combines that with his footwork to work himself into the best scenarios for himself and his teammates to stack buckets. He's a best on the glass and gets second and third opportunities for his squad regularly. I expect Copes to have a big performance against Crowley this week.

Braxton is an impactful, active combo guard that leaves his footprint all over the game up and down the court. He's an impressive rebounder for a guard and his footwork and ballhandling ability regularly leaves his opponents on skates. He is laser-focused during his games, which I love - no excessive celebrations, no taking plays off, just on to the next play and getting the job done and done well. He can get on a streak from deep and his quick release combined with his rapid first step makes him nearly impossible to guard. He's got impressive hang time and can make adjustments in mid-air to give himself the best look at the basket. I think James will be a major factor against Guyer on Tuesday.

Silas is a smart, speedy combo guard that can leave his opponents in fits with his ballhandling ability and stellar decision-making. He's got a beautiful jumper and a soft touch in the lane that get him buckets quickly and consistently. He can go on streaks throughout his games, racking up double-digit scoring in quarters and overwhelming his opposition. He can finish when driving in either direction and he attracts a ton of attention when penetrating the lane, which he uses to set up his teammates with wide open looks at the bucket. His step-back is filthy and he exudes confidence when he gets in the zone, which you love to see if you're on his side. I expect Rodriguez to make a big impact in multiple ways on Tuesday against Crowley.
