Braxton is an impactful, active combo guard that leaves his footprint all over the game up and down the court. He’s an impressive rebounder for a guard and his footwork and ballhandling ability regularly leaves his opponents on skates. He is laser-focused during his games, which I love – no excessive celebrations, no taking plays off, just on to the next play and getting the job done and done well. He can get on a streak from deep and his quick release combined with his rapid first step makes him nearly impossible to guard. He’s got impressive hang time and can make adjustments in mid-air to give himself the best look at the basket. I think James will be a major factor against Guyer on Tuesday.

His lightning-quick first step allows him to blow by opponents effortlessly, putting constant pressure on the defense. James plays with exceptional pace, able to stop and start on a dime, keeping defenders off balance and dictating the tempo of the game. His ability to break down defenses with his tight handle and quick shifts in direction opens up driving lanes and scoring opportunities, making him a constant offensive force both in transition and in half-court sets.

Braxton is a strong, exciting combo guard with a solid frame and impressive ability to finish through contact. He’s constantly in the mix in the lane, mixing it up with his defenders and leaving them frustrated and exhausted. He shows no fear on the hardwood and you can tell he puts in plenty of work on his own time. He’s lengthy with a nice wingspan, which he uses to go straight up and block opposing shots at the rim with regularity. He’s effective on the glass on both ends and he never takes a play off, consistently hustling back on defense and getting into proper position to be a lockdown defender. His confidence is high and nothing shakes him on the court, he has laser focus and is on a winning mission once he enters the game. I’m incredibly impressed with Braxton’s game and it’s easy to see why many others are as well.
