Gaither has been an excellent addition for Grayson County, helping them make a run at Rupp Arena last season after moving to the area last year. Gaither had another big showing on Friday in an impressive win over Winton Woods. After a slow start, Gaither settled into the game well and had multiple and-1 finishes with his right hand. Gaither’s best move of the day came on a hesi dribble move that left the defender scrambling and he fouled him late, leading to another and-1 finish. Gaither is currently on regional Division II and NAIA radars with a recent visit to Thomas More.

Gaither continues to get better (and taller). As he get stronger, he’s going to be a problem for defenders. He’s also got a high basketball IQ and makes the right plays.

Flipping the game with his own personal 8-0 run in the third quarter to turn a one point deficit into a seven point lead for Grayson County, Gaither knocked down his two 3-pointers of the game during that run. Scoring three times off steals, Gaither was opportunistic in jumping passing lanes and going for steals. Impressive performance by one of the more under the radar transfers this year in Kentucky.

to a Grayson County squad that returned its top three scorers from last season has paid dividends for the Cougars. Sharing the court with several scholarship-level recruits means that Gaither’s role is smaller than last season at Collins, but he’s more efficient than ever. Averaging close to 10 points on 52.7% shooting and 42.9% from beyond the arc, Gaither will have crucial responsibilities in Grayson’s push for state.

Caden does a little bit of everything for Collins and had a good AAU season for the Shelby Stars this summer. Gaither may not be done growing yet, either. Definitely a player who deserves some looks from scholarship schools this year.

A fast rising Junior who had a breakout season this past winter, Gaither is a good shooter with positional size and an improving handle. Caden was an all region player last year and is having a strong AAU season as well. Scholarship schools should take note.

This smooth, left-handed guard from Collins High School in Kentucky was a standout at the Queen City Clash and then shot out of the gate at the Havoc in the Heartland with a 28-point performance on Friday night for the Shelby Stars . It is easy to see why he is considered a Top 50 prospect in the state of Kentucky’s Class of 2027.

Ranked as the #41 prospect in Kentucky’s Class of 2027, Gaither is probably over qualified to be considered a true “stock-riser.” However, as a scout from Indiana I don’t get to see him play very often and he really stood out over the weekend at the Havoc in the Heartland. The 6’2″ guard got the weekend started by going off for 28 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocked shots in a win for the Shelby Stars .

Caden was one of the new names in this update and went from unknown to all region in his Sophomore season. Gaither is a good shooter and has deep range on his jumper. If he can continue to add some bulk, Gaither’s “off the bounce” game will get better and he’ll be at the free throw line early and often as a Junior.

Going from Unranked to 41st overall is a pretty big jump but Caden made a big jump this season as he went from virtual unknown to All Region. Gaither led Collins in nearly every statistical category this season and should be expected to have even bigger numbers as a Junior and team leader.
