Stock Risers: 2019 Wings
We take a look at the class of 2019 Wing’s who have been improving over the second half of the high school season and the beginning of the grassroots season. This list includes both shooting guard’s and small forward’s. Check out the list below!
Jamon Kemp – Garfield
Kemp is playing for Team Bradley 16u this grassroots season and is the leading scorer. He had a solid sophomore season at Garfield this past season, but still was limited playing behind 3 division one recruits. Now he has more freedom and opportunity to shine. He is athletic and has the ability to knock down shots from all over the court.
Jorell Saterfield – Rainier Beach
Saterfield is a smooth shooter, who moves really well without the ball in his hands. He has a good feel for the game and does a lot of his damage in the mid-range area. He has been knocking down 3’s more consistently and has been finishing plays with highlight dunks. He is still improving his handle and should continue leading Seattle Rotary 16u in scoring.
Raequan Battle – Marysville Pilchuck
Battle is playing for Seattle Rotary 16u this grassroots season. He had a really nice sophomore season, playing for Marysville Pilchuck, leading them in scoring and gaining more confidence in being a leader. He has a smooth jump shot and knocks down shots consistently.
Davion Gaines – Stadium
Gaines is more of a point guard, but we included him with the wings because he does a lot of scoring for his teams and plays off ball a lot of times. He can take over a game with his scoring ability, but still holds the PG skills to get his teammates involved. The lefty plays for Washington Supreme 16u and is the key play maker.
Colin Gale – Seattle Prep
Gale has been improving a lot this grassroots season, after only playing little minutes this past season for Seattle Prep. He looks to gain some exposure this off season and come back his junior season more prepared and ready to have an impact.
Stevie Smith – Rainier Beach
Smith is a scoring guard, who is still growing each day. He is looking to run more point guard this off season and continue improving his handles. He is a lights out shooter, who can move well without the ball and create for others off the dribble. He should gain exposure this off season.
