Mustafa turned in one of the best individual performances I have seen all season in a win over Minneapolis Camden. He started the game off strong with a pair of layups around the basket and a fast break dunk in the first few minutes. As the game progressed, he seemed to get more confident and more dominant. He finished the game with five dunks, showcasing his ability to be effective in the open floor. His ability to hit tough shots from the perimeter is also amazing, as the 6'10” sophomore was hitting step back threes and turn around jumpers. Mohamed totaled 27 points and 13 rebounds.

I was really impressed with George's performance in a dominant win over Minneapolis North, as the senior forward does many things to positively affect the game for his team. He has a super high release on his shot, which makes it very difficult to contest or block. He was confident from the perimeter, hitting on some looks from beyond the arc. He also used his strong 6'5” frame to work inside for finishes through contact. Norsman is a strong and smart player who is always making winning plays. In the win, he totaled 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Miles was making huge plays in a game where they led by 30 going into halftime. In the limited minutes he saw, he was scoring from both inside and outside, showing off his athleticism with a pair of high flying dunks in traffic. He has also looked a lot better at creating shots for himself using the dribble, from all three levels. The senior wing knocked down a couple triples as well. Newton and Breck had a tough stretch of games to start the season, but I am confident they will put it all together as the year progresses.

Hopkins turned in another dominant performance, with a 50-point win over Columbia Heights. Anthony totaled 22 points, sitting out the final 16 minutes of the game. He was flying around and making plays, intercepting passes and poking balls free from opposing ball handlers. These turned into many easy scores on the other end, including a high flying two-handed dunk. Smith III was also working the half court, knocking down shots from the outside and getting downhill for tough finishes.

I saw Waleed in a little bit of varsity action last season as a freshman, but he has had a nice start to his sophomore campaign. He has seen valuable minutes this season for Breck and had an impressive showing in a blowout victory on Friday. He looks like he has grown since last year and has shown flashes of being a high level playmaker. He has a quick first step, which he used to explode to the rim for layups. Muhammad will be a player to keep an eye on in Minnesota's 2027 class.

I was not familiar with Kellen heading into this weekend, but he impressed me in the win over Minneapolis North. The sophomore wing has a long 6'5” frame and moves very well. He has a pretty shot from the perimeter and was a go-to option for teammate guards to kick out to. He was also doing some of the dirty work, using his length to grab rebounds and force turnovers. Troup started the game for Minnehaha and finished the victory with 12 points (2/3 3PFG), 5 rebounds, and a pair of steals.

I saw Marco a couple times this past summer and he continues to impress me as a shot creator. He may lack some size, but he makes up for it with his ball handling, quickness, and ability to hit on tough looks. On Friday, he was blowing by defenders with his quick burst and change of direction, being a threat to score from all three levels. London and South St. Paul are a very fun team to watch.
