Allmond was one of four a First Team All State selections last year, and the nationally ranked junior comes into the season on a tear and as one of the best players in the state regardless of class. The thing that separates Allmond from a number of other nationally ranked prospects is that he may not always lead his team scoring, but he'll lead them in winning plays on both ends of the floor and his impact goes well beyond what the final box will show. He's a versatile defender who can switch and is an elite rim protector, he's a man among boys in the paint who can clear out space and dominate in the paint, he is an athletic finisher above the rim, he's improved his outside touch and he is a high motor player who will do the dirty work as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494108' first='Aiden' last='Argabright'] | 6'1” PG | John Marshall '25

Argabright was another First Team All State selection last season, and the Richmond commit is one of the most efficient scorers and floor generals you'll come across in the state. Part of a lethal backcourt duo, Argabright can play on or off the ball and can impact the game as both a shooter and as an attacking ball handler who puts pressure on the defense. He's deadly from deep when he's off the ball as a catch-and-shoot guy, he can attack downhill where he's a good finisher through contact and gets to the line often with his ability to draw contact, he can make plays for others and he has great instincts on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1494112' first='Troy' last='Henderson'] | 6'1” PG | John Marshall '25

Henderson was a two time state champion, two time Player of the Year and three time First Team All State for Class 1 Lancaster before transferring to John Marshall this season, and between him and Argabright it's a pick your poison type of situation in the backcourt for the Justices. The Fordham commit is a highly talented shot maker who can create space off the bounce and knock down tough shots from all three levels, while also being able to move off the ball and make shots off the catch too. He changes speeds well to keep defenders off balance, he's deadly in pick-and-rolls and dribble hand-offs, he can pick up ball handlers the length of the floor and he can make plays for others as well.

La'Darius Givan | 6'9” C | John Marshall '26

Givan transferred to JM in the offseason giving them perhaps the most deadly and versatile front court in the state if not the entire east coast, and he's going to give a lot of teams fits with the two headed monster approach they'll have this year. The Mississippi State commit is a big time athlete at 6'9”, with the ability to own the paint on both ends while also being able to step out and stretch the defense as well. He is an elite shot blocker when he comes help side and moves his feet well when guarding the ball, he's a constant lob threat, he can catch and finish above the rim and he's a good shooter from deep as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956074' first='Jameer' last='Reynolds'] | 6'6” WF | Dan River '25

Reynolds transfers back to Dan River after being an All State selection at Carlisle last year, and he's one of the more intriguing available prospects in the central/western part of the state with the way he's developed over the last few years. At 6'6” he has great positional size, is a big time athlete who can play above the rim, he has improved in his ability to create and make shots off the bounce and he can impact the game defensively with his versatility too. There aren't going to be many players in the area that can match his blend of size, athleticism and skill set, making it clear he'll be one of the best players in Class 2 this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767543' first='Gavin' last='Herrington'] | 6'0” PG | Floyd County '25

Herrington heads into his senior season as a three year starter for the Buffaloes, and they have a team that is set to make a deep run with him running the show with shooters surrounding him. The 6'0” lead guard is a dynamic playmaker who can blow by defenders off the bounce and is a good finisher at the rim, and he's a very good on ball defender with his athleticism and toughness. He can make plays for others and makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, he can knock down open shots and he sets the tone on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2761903' first='Brandon' last='Freeman'] | 5'10” PG | Bruton '25

Freeman was an All State selection last season and is one of the best players in the Williamsburg area coming into his senior year, and he's got all the tools to put up big numbers throughout the season. While he isn't the biggest guy on the floor, Freeman oozes toughness on both ends of the floor and is an athletic and quick guard who can make plays across the board. He has a quick first step with blow by speed and the ability to finish in traffic, he can light it up from deep when left alone and he can change the game with his on ball defense too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763232' first='Markelle' last='Ray'] | 6'0” PG | Graham '25

Ray was an All State selection last year for a Graham team that had a great season and made a deep run, and coming back for his senior season he's looking to do it all again and get to Richmond this time. The 6'0” lead guard is a rock running the show, as he handles pressure well and gets his team into sets, while also knowing when to push the tempo and when to create for himself off the bounce. He's a good athlete who can get downhill and finish at the rim, he scores it efficiently from multiple levels and he makes players on his team better too.
