A lot of the reason the John Marshall offense was as effective as it was today was because of the John Marshall guards. The JM big men are outstanding and will be great players at their Power 5 schools but the guards both shoot the ball at a high level and are high IQ players.

showed off his complete skill set. Latrell knocked down threes, attacked the rim, and got his own in the mid-range. Latrell battled on the offensive glass and was solid on defense. I like how Latrell has improved and expanded his offensive game.

Extremely talented pg can shoot the basketball at a very high clip. His FG% is extremely high he’s shooting 61% from the 3. He looks to score with his pull up so you cannot give him space. I saw him consistently knock it down from the 3 when defenders gave him space or got stuck in ball screens. Doesn’t make to many mistakes or turn the ball over. High level playmaker operates well going down hill and finding teammates. He had a very tight handle and is quick with the ball in his hands. Good athleticism can finish around the basket. Overall one of the best shooting performances I’ve seen over a 5 game stretch 66% FG in Alabama and they were pretty much all jumpers.

was huge in keeping Lancaster in this game early. Troy hit some tough shots all game and knocked down a couple of spot-up threes. He had 13 of Lancaster’s 15 in the first quarter. Troy was clutch down the stretch as well, with 10 in the fourth quarter. He had a huge go-ahead three-point play and put on the best performance of the day. Troy has an excellent mid-range and great range. Troy finished with 30 points and was crucial to Lancaster’s come-back win.
