About Bobby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’d describe my game as an all-around combo guard. At 5’10, 185, I’m strong for my size so I can get inside, finish through contact, and create plays for my teammates. I’ve got a very polished pull-up jumper, and I focus on making the right plays whether it’s scoring or setting others up.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d say my mentality is all about working hard and never taking time off. I’m in the gym every chance I get, always looking for ways to improve my game. I stay quiet and humble, I don’t boast, but I always support my teammates and put winning first. People sometimes call me “all business,” but when I’m on the court my passion shows because of how much I love the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes I’m in a book club, volunteer to help the senior citizens at a place near my house

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership and teamwork mostly through basketball, learning how to communicate, support teammates, and lead by example. Off the court, I worked at a senior citizen center, and that taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is to show respect and care for others. Both experiences have helped me grow as a person, not just a player.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced has been playing up against older competition from a young age. Since I was a freshman, I’ve been on varsity, so I had to quickly adapt to the physicality, discipline, and speed of the game to earn my spot and contribute. Off the court, I also went through a tough time personally after losing both my grandfather and my uncle within a year of each other.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will challenge me both on and off the court. I want a program where I can grow as a player, continue to develop my skills, and compete at a high level, but also a school that pushes me academically and helps me prepare for life after basketball. I value strong team culture and coaches who expect discipline and hard work, because that’s the environment I’m used to.

Louis played well last season for Archbishop Williams, but he’s made some improvements to his game over the summer and will turn heads at the MIAA level this winter. The 5-foot-11 guard is a bulldog on both ends, and when he commits to pressuring opposing ball handlers, he’s an absolute menace defensively — he can be a phenomenal point of attack defender if he wants to be. Offensively, Louis keeps his line well on drives and cannot be moved off his spot because of his strength and toughness. He’ll score close to 20 a game this season if I had to guess.
