The Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp is one of the best chances to see young talented prospects from the state. PHI had Steve Parham at the event in person all weekend and has been posting coverage. I wasn't able to make it in person, but went back to watch the first game of every single player in the event on Baller TV. That is what is represented in these evaluations. Here is Pangos: Scotty B's 2028 Wing Standouts!

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego – 2028)

Vahl is on the short list of the top prospects in the 2028 class. The 6'2” shooting guard has all the tools to be a high-major recruit down the line. He is a feathery shooter that poured them in from three knocking in four of them in the game I saw. Also has an excellent passing feel finding teammates in the half court and transition.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2531974' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] (Yorkville – 2028)

This 6'3” wing is one of the more intriguing incoming freshman that we have seen early in the process. Powerful and athletic slasher that is super explosive getting downhill in both transition and the half court. Burst with the ball and has some shake getting past his defender. Threw down some massive dunks and won off the dribble with his size, strength, and athleticism.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] (Lyons – 2028)

Smith emerged in July, broke out at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase, and established himself as one of the best wings in his class at Pangos. The 6'4” athletic forward shined on both ends of the floor with his high motor. Finishes with athleticism at and above the rim. Big transition dunks, sweeping layups, and reverse scores. Sound shooter from the baseline and mid-range with a free and easy release. Defensively he rebounded at a high rate, pushed it in the open floor, and found teammates as a passer. Can really block shots with excellent timing.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2632077' first='Jeremiah' last='Weatherford'] (Rich Township – 2028)

Weatherford is a 6'0” shooting guard that really shined in the game we saw. First thing that stands out is the physical profile with this long and athletic wing. Has projectability to continue to grow. He is super explosive in transition getting to the rim. Sweeping layups, wins on straight line takes, and is slippery through defenders with his handle getting to the rack. Can even post up a little for guard. Gets to the line at a nice clip. Moves his feet laterally on the defensive end staying in front of his man.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2542413' first='Alvin' last='Robinson'] III (Lincoln Park – 2028)

Robinson is a broad shouldered 6'3” wing with good length and athleticism. Has some tools to work with as he showed a crisp handle and smooth release on perimeter jumper out to three. Quality defender that has lock down potential. One of the more intriguing wings in the class.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2540198' first='Terrence' last='Davis'] (Libertyville – 2028)

This wing broke on the scene in June and had a really strong showing in the camp. Long and lanky wing that got wherever he wanted on the floor effortlessly. Slick takes to the rim with creative handles. Also was a good passer with pocket passes and dishing out multiple dimes in the game we saw. Smooth pull up jumper from mid-range. Rangy defender.

SF DeAndre Higgs (Thornton – 2028)

Higgs is a 6'2” wing with broad shoulders and long arms that should continue to grow. Like the raw strength and his ability to finish around the hoop with dunks and through contact. Plus finisher in transition. High level rebounder that snatches them in bunches. We saw growth even in the last month with his handles and the jumper from three looked clean coming off his hands. Also hit a cutter in stride on his way to the hoop.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2532031' first='Roosevelt' last='Thomas'] (De La Salle – 2028)

Thomas is a thick bodied 6'3” wing that is a powerful slasher. Gets to the rim where he finishes with strength especially in transition. Also crashes the offensive glass for put backs and flashed some passing feel finding shooters for open shots.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2532024' first='Noah' last='Corro'] (St. Laurence – 2028)

Corro is a 6'0” shooting guard that can also play some on the ball. At this stage his biggest strength is his creative ball handling and smoothness getting to the cup off the bounce.

SG Cian Paulsen (Nazareth – 2028)

The 6'1” shooting guard has nice size and uses it to finish well around the hoop. Mid-range jumper looks smooth and mixes in some finishes at the hoop.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2366141' first='Owen' last='Towne'] (OPRF – 2028)

Towne is a long and rangy 6'2” two guard that plays taller with his length. Active getting on the offensive glass. You are buying the athleticism and projectability early in the process here.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2532005' first='Kai' last='Harvey'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2028)

Harvey is a 6'0” shooting guard that has a long and rangy frame. Should continue to grow. Finishes around the hoop with touch, rim runs for scores in the open floor, and shows potential as a mid-range shooter.

SG Derrick Caldwell (St. Ignatius – 2028)

Caldwell is a 6'2” two guard that has nice length. Finished dump off passes around the hoop and was active on the offensive glass. Sweet finger roll conversion and knocked in a clean looking spot up three.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2528189' first='Joseph' last='Christian'] (Yorkville – 2028)

The 6'0” Yorkville combo guard has good length and has an explosive burst with the ball in his hands especially in the open floor. Athleticism around the rim, reverse layups, and gets on the offensive glass for put backs. Competes defensively including blocking a three.

SF [player_tooltip player_id='2362360' first='Anfernee' last='Moore'] (Peoria Richwoods – 2028)

Moore is a 6'3” wing that has a strong frame. He uses that frame scoring in the paint and can pass playing off the ball as well.

SG [player_tooltip player_id='2515916' first='Jack' last='Fabian'] (Benet – 2028)

Fabian is a 6'0” shooting guard that was really good in this setting cutting to the hoop off the ball for an array of layups. Also pulled from the volleyball line with an absolute bomb of a three.
