Stock continued to rise for Harvey at The Expo over the weekend. The long and slim combo guard prospect shows an intriguing ability to create offense from multiple levels with speed and agility. Displayed some craft off the bounce using a spin move to create separation before rising above out stretched arms for a turnaround jumper. Looked comfortable pullup up off the dribble as well while showing touch and balance in the mid range game. Harvey continues to show comfort from beyond the arc where he fits in well as a shooting guard. With a talented group at Chicago Mt. Carmel, Harvey will fit right into the mix while providing positive production.

Harvey’s athleticism and activity was noticed on both ends of the floor. He has a nice burst getting to the rim and showed vision as a passer in transition, while also running the floor hard and making himself available as a cutter. Harvey showed good feel for finding space, including flashing to the high post. Defensively, his lateral quickness allowed him to stay in front of opponents, while his active hands created disruption. His combination of athleticism, movement, and defensive activity gives him multiple ways to impact the game.

Really liked what we saw out of Harvey.  The 6’1” shooting guard shoots such a clean ball from beyond the arc.  Banged them in both pulling up off the bounce and spotting up.  Moves well without the ball.  More than just a shooter he can split defenders off the dribble and convert sweeping layups.  Should definitely help out HF as a sophomore.

Saw him compete once earlier this spring and continues to impress. Watched Saturday evenings’ game in a tough gut out victory. Played up an age division this weekend. I like him at the 2 spot as a shooting guard but can be put in the 1 slot if needed as well. Poised on his ball handling when gaining 0 gap pressure. Was quick enough to still get to his spots offensively gaining a step. Uses length to advantage on both ends with long strides. A well rounded Vikings guard to keep tabs on over next 3 years.

Trustworthy wing that can fill the 2 or 3 spots. Runs the side line at a fast pace. Plays alongside a couple poised and solid guards. Can handle it effectively himself if necessary and is comfortable doing so. Caught him in 2 games over the weekend. First one went for 13 and second one finished with 19 in a hard-fought win. Converted on multiple transition buckets in both contests and can shoot it at a high clip from 3. A smooth off guard that can make a big impact on the game.
