I was on hand at De La Salle all weekend for Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp. Here we examine Part 1 the best guards that he saw at the camp!

[player_tooltip player_id='2532005' first='Kai' last='Harvey'] Homewood Flossmoor 6'0

Kai is a very active guard who has a nice handle on the ball. He scored in the lane with some one-hand floaters and even nailed a 13-foot middy. More of a combo guard than a PG. He made the only three-pointer I watched him shoot. A top 60 game participant.

[player_tooltip player_id='2632077' first='Jeremiah' last='Weatherford'] 6'0 Rich Township

A tough guard with good arm length who can cover multiple positions on the court. Weatherford has blazing speed with the ball in his hands and scored a lot at the basket. Made the Top 60 game.

DeAndre Higgs 6'2 Thornton

The physically imposing off guard whose handle has tightened since our Prep Hoops camp has figured out a good mix of attacking the basket and shooting on the perimeter. Higgs is a dependable defender who helps out on the glass when needed. Made the top 60 games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532024' first='Noah' last='Corro'] 6'0 St. Laurence

Quick guard who flourished on Sunday. Hitting shot after shot from deep. He was shifty off-ball screens finding spots to attract attention and dump off passes to guys. Was selected to the top 60 game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2542413' first='Alvin' last='Robinson'] 6'3 Lincoln Park

Alvin is a silky smooth guard who has found a good balance of scoring and passing. He's already a good size for a collegiate prospect. Made tough shots on Saturday and was good on the defensive side on Sunday. Should be a top 10 prospect in a loaded 2028 class. Made the Top 60 game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] 6'2 Oswego

Vahl always has a flare for the dramatics. High IQ guard who was getting doubled at times for how well he shot the ball. Very poised guard who can delight a crowd with deep threes on the court and flashy passing. Vahl played in the top 25 games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532004' first='Josiah' last='Hall'] 6'0 St. Ignatius

Stocky guard who understands the game and his position on the court. Hall has good patience in the half court. He surveys the court before making passes. He's a guard that understands that sometimes less is more. Shoots the ball well from three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2467517' first='Darrius' last='Hawkins'] 5'10 Homewood Flossmoor

D-Hawk was in his bag the whole camp pushing the game tempo and executing some difficult dribble combinations. Darrius in events like this has always been worth the price of admission. He makes tough layups in the lane and is always on watch for a highlight reel pass. Hawkins played well. Enough to be in the top 25 game.
