More team recaps from the freshman showcase! Here are my top performers from Team 16!

[player_tooltip player_id='2531962' first='Amir' last='Tucker'] Saint Ignatius 5'11

Amir is a highly active guard that can make multiple things happen. His handle is very tight while on the move. At times he looked quicker with the ball in his hands. Tucker is a terrific facilitator while being pressured. He made several dimes in the game I watched. As a scorer he has good shot mechanics and seems to have different layup packages at the rim. On defense Amir moved his feet well and showed quick hands in some one-on-one battles. Will be a college prospect with growth and added strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382274' first='Isaiah' last='Parks'] Argenta Oreana 5'8

Parks is a very good on-ball defender who didn't get as many touches as the other players on the team but he showed how well he could pick up 94 feet and speed up opposing players. What I like about Isaiah is that he didn't quit playing if the ball didn't come his way. After forcing a missed shot he was rewarded with a wide-open three that he knocked down.

[player_tooltip player_id='2404001' first='Cristian' last='Benavides'] St. Francis 6'0

Benavides is a very confident three-level scoring threat. He shot the ball at a high rate playing alongside other confident guards. Cristian has a high skill set and it showed. His change of pace when attacking off the bounce was smooth. Cristian has the game that could help on the varsity level right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531997' first='Jackson' last='Noyd'] Orion 5'11

Noyd is a talented shooter who is also skilled with the rock. He's another skilled and active player who brings a lot to the game. Jackson is a ball handler who can create for himself and others. Off the ball he knew how to cut and space on the wing for open shots. As Noyd continues to grow he can become a prospect in three years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531995' first='Ezenwa' last='Nwagwu'] St. Rita 5'10

Ezenwa has a slick handle with the ball. He was strong in ball screen action using left-to-right crossovers to get to the basket. Showed good range on his shot. He played with more wiggle as he saw his shot fall. Nwagwu has long arms and is a threat to get a steal when on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2300644' first='Jayden' last='Zepeda'] Plano 5'8

Jayden is heart over height player. He scores most of his points by getting ahead of the pack at times. A basketball-savvy guard he can put the ball on the floor and pass while also making shots from the corner and on the move. Zepeda later in the game got a steal right at half-court and scored the layup.
