One of the top scorers in the 2028 class, Maurice continued his impressive offseason averaging nearly 30 points per game for Woodstock over the weekend. He is a strong, attacking, ball handling guard who is very tough for defenders to keep out of the paint. The rising junior has proved to be a more than capable perimeter shot maker and is certainly a prospect that college coaches need to evaluate this summer.

He is a strong, compact, attacking, ball handling guard who can finish at different angles and with both hands in the paint. Maurice is very difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint and is a capable open perimeter shot maker.

Maurice was named Region Player of the Year after averaging over 24.4 points per game for Woodstock, showcasing his ability as a high-level offensive producer. He is a strong, attacking guard with solid ball-handling skills who consistently puts pressure on the defense and is very difficult to keep out of the paint. In addition to his ability to get downhill, Maurice is a capable open shot maker, giving him effectiveness as a three-level scoring threat.

Jahmar demonstrated a notable level of maturity on the court. Despite early foul trouble, he remained composed and entered the game late to make critical plays that helped secure the victory. His craftiness in the lane, combined with a shifty handle, allows him to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. As a true point guard, he excels at getting teammates involved and orchestrating the offense with poise and vision.

Maurice led Woodstock at 20 points per game as a freshman, the Wolverines finishing 14-15. This year Jahmar has dumped in 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals while guiding the Wolverines to a school-best 12-0 start and in the process picking up a Morehead State offer. Maurice is a dynamic downhill attacker. While he may not be as tall as some of his peers in the backcourt, his elite ability to get to the rim and draw fouls is what makes him so special. Through 12 games, Jahmar is 86-110 (78%) from the foul line along with 25-80 (31%) from three.  Maurice is finally starting to get the credit as being one of the best 2028 prospects in all of Georgia.

The explosive All-State sophomore has Woodstock at 5-0. Maurice has averaged 28.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3 steals per game. He has shot 33% from deep, 8-24 from distance. The heat seeking missile’s elite skill of drawing fouls has been on display, already 41-53 from the line through his first four games. Maurice is one the best guards in the entire state. His game continues to mature as he grows as a leader and a playmaker who makes everyone around him better. He is a future D-I point.
