June serves as a transition period in the grassroots basketball calendar between the spring and the summer. The annual scholastic period brings high school teams back together before another big month of travel ball in July. Prep Hoops Indiana will continue to provide coverage of it all, but before we get too deep into June we wanted to highlight some of the standouts from the last couple of months a bit more. This week we will hand out some superlatives from the spring beginning here with forwards in the Class of 2027 that will continue to make their names known into the summer months.

This 6'6" Class of 2027 prospect has some really intriguing long term potential. Bangs has flashed some pick-and-pop ability and will continue to see rapid improvements in his game as he develops physically and gets stronger. There have certainly been some signs of what he can become through this spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] 2027 who was a consistent top performing team on the Prep Hoops Circuit along with the UA Rise Circuit. This Western High School forward will be a fun one to follow over the next few years.

Came away really impressed with Dickerson after watching Carmel High School play at the Purdue shootout on June 6th. The 6'4" forward is definitely ready to step into a larger role for the Greyhounds going into his sophomore season. He is very strong and crafty around the basket, plays a physical brand of basketball on the block, and does a great job of finishing through contact with his left hand. Dickerson has a bit of a unique game that is translates to a high level of productivity both for Carmel and throughout the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2400093' first='Indiana' last='Elite Team Tradition'] 2027.

You can't help but notice this 6'10" center when he walks into the gym. There simply aren't many prospects in the Class of 2027 at his height yet. Ly has already proved himself as a force on the defensive end as one of the state's top rim protectors. That defensive ability will take him a long way, but the continued development of his offensive game will ultimately determine his ceiling. Look for Ly to step into a major role for Brebeuf Jesuit starting this month and into his sophomore season. Really intriguing long-term prospect.

Another big interior presence in Indiana's Class of 2027, Price is a 6'7" center with a bright future at Penn High School. He moves around well for his size showcasing good ability on the roll, operating on the block, and defending around the basket. Price has good strength for his age which allows him to hold his own against older, more physical mature players. There is a lot to like about his two-way upside and he has showcased that consistently through the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] Red 2027.

A standout performer that burst onto the scene at the Prep Hoops Indiana State Tournament a couple of weekends ago, this 6'5"-6'6" interior presence from Mt. Vernon (Fortville) High School is one to watch over the coming years. Vise averaged 20.8 points per game while dominating everything around the basket at that event. He displayed good hands and footwork inside, scored on the block at a high percentage, and even stepped out to make a couple of three-point shots. Under-the-radar prospect with a high ceiling.
