Sabir was on fire to start the game against [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United'] on Saturday morning. He just couldn't miss as he knocked down a few first half 3's to help his team build up an early lead. Outside of his shooting, Sabir excelled at beating his man with backdoor cuts to open up some easy looks at the basket. He was always moving looking to find space for high percentage shots. Defensively he did a great job of sliding his feet off the ball to draw a pair of charges in the lane. Sabir played a key role in the OT win for MN Laceup.

Julian had a nice weekend playing up at the 16u level with [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle'] Cruz. He helped lead his team to a 3-1 record with the one loss coming by 2 points to Comets Elite. In the game I watched he showcased his own shot creating ability on the perimeter, but was perhaps at his best as a facilitator. He dished out a handful of assists, and was making great decisions with the ball out in transition. Has the ability to play either guard spot because he's a dangerous spot up shooter who can also run the offense for his team.

Brogan continues to produce at a high level all while leading his [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] team to wins. I watched him in both the semi-finals and the finals games on Sunday where he had success getting downhill to his left hand, where he's just about automatic as a finisher. Everyone in the state knows to keep him right, but Brogan is just so quick laterally that he finds ways to beat his man and get to his left hand to finish. Although he doesn't take a high volume of threes, he hits at a high rate from beyond the arc and is capable of creating separation to get his own shot off. Showed his playmaking ability as well as he was getting into the paint and dumping it off to his forwards for easy buckets.

Cobie is a lightning quick guard, and was making plays on both ends to lead his Minneapolis Reapers team past Next Level Basketball Academy. He was an absolute pest on the ball, picking up full-court and forcing mistakes with his ball pressure. He was able to pick up a few steals which led to easy buckets for both himself and his teammates. In the half-court he's able to utilize his quickness to get downhill and attack the basket. Fearless getting to the rim and finishing against taller players.

I've watched Cooper at three different events this spring, and each time he's been arguably the most productive player on the floor. He won't be the biggest or most explosive player on the floor, but he's almost always one of the smartest. He just knows how to read the defense, and get high percentage shots without having to dribble much. Cooper excels at using shot-fakes and getting to the rim off one or two dribbles, and he's also really good moving off the ball to get open looks. Despite the tough loss to [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'], Cooper was once again very productive for [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] Academic.

Rylan was hitting some tough shots for Power Circle Basketball Academy on Saturday. He has a shifty handle and explosive athleticism which helped him get downhill and finish at the rim. Also put that athleticism to use defensively, where he pressured the ball hard, helping force a handful of turnovers in the second half. He helped his team comeback and make it a game late against [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] as he was all over the place making plays defensively. Rylan showed he can step out and hit the three both off the catch and dribble. Was a 14.3 ppg scorer last winter at Cooper, and could be in for some high scoring games as a junior.

CJ was running with [program_tooltip program_id='2422572' first='D1' last='Minnesota Gold'] over the weekend, and helped lead them to a win over [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] Meitz on Saturday. He found success catching in the high post and facing up, able to either elevate for a mid-range jumper or hit a cutting teammate to the basket for an assist. He has a long and athletic frame, and threw down a pair of transition dunks while also finding success getting to the rim off the dribble. Averaged an impressive 32 ppg as a junior at Richfield.
