About Favour

Favour is a legit 7-footer playing for Mt zion in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Defensively, Ibe is a disciplined defender, staying down on upfakes and vertically contesting shots, committing few fouls. He’s agile for his size and has solid lateral quickness, showing an ability to slide with less shifty guards tho his technique is still raw in this aspect. Offensively, he has outstanding touch, especially on floaters near the rim. He’s experimented with three-point shooting, and while nothing of impact has materialized yet, he has started to hit free-throw line jumpers at a decent clip. A small sample size, but at the national prep championships, he took 4 jump shots all from a similar spot on the floor and made 2. He’s good at creating a passing angle for his post-ups and has developed a strong drop step, often leading to a scoop layup with his left hand or a post hook with his right. He also has shown improved hands over the course of the season and looks more comfortable gathering.

Ibe checks in as the top-ranked available prospect, but there should be a number of suitors after the transfer portal dust settles as the 7-foot-1 big man continued to present intriguing flashes of dominance throughout the season. His catching and finishing in the paint became more fluid and dependable as was his mentality of controlling the boards for a prospect of his size. I’d still give the shot-blocking edge to Huan in comparison, but Ibe has shown progression in this aspect of his game over the high school season as well. Like Huan, Ibe will be more of a developmental piece (as most bigs his size are), that could really pop under the right staff at the next level.

-Love the skill progression that I’m seeing from the unsigned senior as a forward prospect with a ton of potential. His hands have really improved to come up with tough catches in traffic whether they are post entry feeds over the top or low bounce passes below his waist. Ibe scored it well through contact in the paint, served as a great lob and roll target above the rim, and even hit a nice short turnaround jumper from the mid post. Would like to see him use his size and athleticism to block more shots around the rim. But he has really improved his defensive positioning both on the ball and in help, creating much better angles to contest shots without fouling to keep him on the floor for longer stretches of time.

Ibe stays put at No. 7, but has shown some nice signs in the recent weeks as he’s imposing his size and will in the paint with more aggression and certainty. With Ibe, the potential can’t expect to be fully developed until a couple of years into college, but there is a very intriguing ceiling with his combination of size and length. The Warriors are 11-1 overall and their overall success in the EPL as well as the national prep rankings will depend heavily upon Ibe’s ability to control the paint at both ends of the floor. Maryland and Villanova are a couple of programs involved with the 7-foot-1 center.

Before the crack ribs. The 7-footer is a big man put on a dominate performance against Winston Salem Christian Prep with a 17- points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists performance. College basketball coaches should be monitoring this young man closely for the rest of the year. Whether it’s his powerful shot-blocking, continual dunking, or his growing ability to stretch the floor, Favour showcases his evolving and improving skill set. Also showed his face ability knocking the 3pt jumper in the flow of the game. The young is starting figure it out!

The space eating center plays with an immense deal of physicality whenever he steps onto the floor. He excels playing with his back to the bucket. He was active on the boards and shags rebounds. Ibe is a great screener if he sets one on you good luck getting around him. He was able to score through contact. High majors in need of a big look no further than Ibe.

The 7-Footer continue to improve in his all-around play. Favour’s footwork and ability to put the ball on the floor from the free throw line make one dribble and finish at the rim. Also showed the ability to step out comfortably and hit the 15-foot jumper…Favour continues to show his agility getting up/down the floor, hitting the boards on both ends and anchoring in the paint contested and blocking shots at a high rate and make plays off the dribble. Also showed a soft touch with the turnaround jumper in the lane over either shoulder. With maturity look for Favour to be a solid contributor in college with strength and aggressiveness. Finish the game against Phelps School with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

Ibe will be the highest-ranked 2026 prospect featured in the event and the 7-footer has shown steady progression with our viewings this fall. Ibe moves well for a prospect his size and seems to be playing with more assertiveness around the rim at both ends. In our most recent viewing, Ibe even showed some newfound confidence playing out of face-up scenarios and attacking the rim off 1-to-2 dribbles. This aspect of his game will be one of the last that is developed, but the hints are always good to see. In order for Mt. Zion to walk away with two wins this weekend, he’ll need to enforce his paint presence, run the floor consistently, and haul in rebounds in bulk.

A lot of strong flashes put together by Ibe throughout the two games on Saturday where the 7-footer really asserted himself with his size around the rim. He finished authoritatively on dump-offs or rolls to the rim. He sprinted the floor with purpose to get back and protect the painted area defensively and viciously swatted away lay-ups with good timing. It was certainly some of the best and most consistent that I’ve seen out of Ibe play over the last year.

-We haven’t been able to see a ton of Ibe this summer as he dealt with a few lower body injuries but still remain high on his long term outcomes as a prospect. A sturdy shot-blocker that can finish plays around the basket, rebound, and pass out of the low post– he will step into a much bigger role this season with the graduation of several key pieces around him. Mt. Zion will go as he goes this season with a national schedule that will have him facing off against semipros, prep schools, and top high school teams from across the country.
