Clocking in at 6'1”, Orbe was the silent cog in the machine that kept his team going at the Indiana session. Though he wasn't filling up the stat sheet, it was the little things that he showed which impressed. His IQ on full display, relocating and finding open space for a teammate to receive the ball and knock down an open three-pointer and also being in the right place at the right time, grabbing an offensive board for a quick, springy put-back. He also led the break on multiple occasions and played connector as the assist man finding teammates in motion for open looks on the wings or for layups.

Vilmenay stands 5'10” now and 150 lbs but was doing a bit of everything for the Rebels at Session 3. He had a three-quarter length pass to a wide open [player_tooltip player_id='2125504' first='Oneal' last='Delancy'] after securing a rebound over a much taller defender and pushing the pace, leading the break. Another sequence saw Vilmenay, get a steal and find Delancy again for an open layup as he was sprinting to the rim ahead of the pack. The real highlight of his weekend though was his three-point shooting. Vilmenay hit spot up threes from all over the arc while also mixing in a few off the dribble jumpers as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397027' first='Carson' last='Crawford'] came to Indy ready to play. Another smart combo guard on the Rebels roster, he showcased his basketball IQ all weekend. Crawford always had his head up while he was on the court. His activity led to extra possessions chasing down the offensive board and passing to a cutting teammate for the layup. He also found the weak spot in zones when teams defended in that manner. On one possession, he received the ball on the break, took two dribbles from half court and ended up below the foul line for a quick pull-up jumper in the weak point of the zone. Being able to quickly recognize and react in the split seconds of a high paced game shows his development game by game.

Last but certainly not least, as he is playing up a few years on the circuit, we have [player_tooltip player_id='2398816' first='Josiah' last='Brooks']. Standing 6'3” Brooks already is bringing the all-around game. He is third on the team in points, second in assists, and fourth in rebounds and steals. The southpaw knocked down a few threes over the weekend but did most of his damage below the arc. Brooks took contact and finished strong on the break with both hands. He was able to be a one man fast break as well with his defensive prowess in disrupting the opponents offense and taking a few dribbles and showing his finishing package around the rim. Keep your eyes on Brooks, he certainly is a player who is on the rise.

As the teams are getting more and more time together on the court, you can see things coming together. The level of guard play at this time is improving game by game and someone is showing something different and new each and every game. Make sure you're checking out where these players will be during the season so you can catch them next year.
