Maybe the most dominant defensive player of the entire camp, Bennett was jumping passing lanes, contesting shots, taking away driving lanes and turning defense into offense in transition. Another prospect who was highly regarded coming into the event, Bennett performed at an extremely high level and should be a priority for regional small college programs.

Ohio Champion 17 U ended up making the Ua Rise Championship game and on Friday I saw them clinch an elite 8 berth thanks to some balanced offense across the board. Tough to pick one player to spotlight from a team that shares the ball and spreads the wealth around but I landed on Bennett thanks to him having a couple contested paint finishes including a nice up and under move, the ball finding him in the paint and stretching out to knock down a 3-pointer. An impressive rebounder and high motor big, Bennett should be on regional scholarship radars heading into his senior season.

An under the radar name out of Cincinnati, Bennett is a prospect I expect scholarship programs to find very intriguing this summer as he’s a bit of an unknown. After a strong season for Indian Hill where he averaged almost 18 points and 7.5 rebounds a contest. I expect him to see his recruitment take shape for Ohio Champion Basketball where he will be able to show off his versatility as a ball handler and also his interior scoring and rebounding ability. Expect to hear a lot about Bennett during the months of April to July.

It was a tale of two halves for Bennett. After struggling in the first half, Bennett flipped a switch and had an excellent second half to finish with 15 points and 6 rebounds. I thought rebounding was his best trait on Friday as he did a nice job of crashing the glass on both ends. As a driver, Bennett still needs to get stronger to not get pushed off his spots but when he’s able to turn the corner, Bennett is tough to stop with his height and length. Also showing shot-making flashes from the outside, Bennett knocked down a pair of 3-pointers. I expect scholarship programs to take a strong look at Bennett during the grassroots season with Ohio Champion.

There are some really intriguing tools with this 6’7″ forward out of Indian Hill High School in Ohio. He is long and lean with good hands and a soft touch around the rim. Bennett displayed a good understanding of interior spacing playing out of the dunker’s spot well, finding the soft spot when a teammate would drive into the paint, and consistently getting himself available around the basket. Intriguing upside.

A prospect who first got on my radar at the Prep Hoops Circuit event in Columbus, Bennett continues to impress with his high school program. Showing some flashes with the ball in his hands, Bennett can face up and attack off the dribble. Scoring with jump stops and reverse pivots in the lane, Bennett was dangerous from the 8-12 foot range. His height also allowed him to snatch a few offensive rebounds and collect easy putback layups. I also like the process which Bennett attacks off the dribble, setting up his teammates if the lane closes down. If Bennett can get stronger and become more assertive in the paint, he could have scholarship colleges become interested in him at this time next year. Very intrigued by the upside Bennett has and he’ll make his debut in our post summer 2026 rankings update.

A big interior advantage in the paint for his team was largely thanks to the size of Bennett. Standing at 6’7, Bennett takes up a lot of space for contesting shots defensively and crashing the offensive glass. I thought Bennett did a nice job playing within the flow of the offense as he knocked down a couple mid-range shots and set screens to free up his teammates. A name to watch develop down in the Cincinnati area from the 2026 class.
