Team Preview : Liberty Heights Athletic Institute
Prep Hoops SC and Swanny’s Roundball Review had a chance to see Liberty Heights Athletic Institute play yesterday in Greensboro, NC. Liberty Heights Athletic Institute was playing in the Flight 22 Showcase.
Michael Wynn leads the way here for Liberty Heights Athletic Institute in his second year with the program. Wynn a strong wing recently committed to East Carolina University for next season. Wynn played AAU this summer with Team Loaded Virginia and originally hails from Albany, NY.
Davier Dixon (2019) returns back to LHAI this coming season. Dixon a point guard started off his career at Winston Salem Prep before coming over last season. Dixon struggled a bit today with his perimeter shot.
Chris Martin played extremely well today for LHAI. Martin (2018) guard can really defend on the ball and created constant havoc all day long on the floor. Martin was strong to the basket and finished at will today. Martin played this summer with Team Charlotte on the Under Armour AAU Circuit.
Martin played last season at Charlotte United Christian Academy. Martin was a great spark all day long for LHAI. Martin is a lead guard college programs need to take notice in for next season.
Heratio Carr (2018) is a slender-sleek post player for LHAI. Carr in his second season with the program really lacks strength on the floor. Carr 6’9 has a long wingspan and has the ability to defend out on the perimeter. Carr is a Washington D.C. native.
D’Marco Baucum (2018) played last season at Riverdale Baptist in Maryland. Baucum 6’7 played inside-out on the floor today and showed his ability to knock down the mid-range jumper. Baucum had soft hands in the paint and can really run the floor well.
Liberty Heights Athletic Institute has some a solid group of players for Head Coach Michael Wright this season. College coaches might want to stop into the Queen City and check this group during your travels this season.
