Tremendous all-around scoring game from Harper-Grant in Grant’s opening round win over West Linn, as he posted 21 points – without even hitting a three-pointer. The rising junior was tough in the mid-range and getting to the basket, where he was able to absorb contact and get to the line for opportunities. He was a solid contributor on the glass, using his length and athleticism to grab 7 rebounds, and dished out 3 assists as well.

Another member of Grant’s talented young group, Harper-Grant had a great year showcasing his athleticism to finish at will around the basket. A natural disruptor on the defensive end of the court with his length & anticipation. Big future ahead for Harper-Grant & the Generals.

Jacob Harper-Grant Jacob Harper-Grant 6'3" | SG/SF Grant | 2028 State OR who finished the game with a team high 18 points is a well-rounded scorer who plays the game with poise and toughness. A solid outside shooter, he can stretch the floor while also using his quick first step to attack defenders. Harper-Grant contributes on both ends, staying active on defense and competing on every possession. An all-around scorer with a reliable free-throw stroke, he brings a tough, competitive edge every time he steps on the floor.

Jacob Harper-Grant Jacob Harper-Grant 6'3" | SG/SF Grant | 2028 State OR is a versatile sophomore who impacts the game in multiple ways. An athletic player with a nose for the ball, he’s a strong rebounder and a capable outside shooter. Harper-Grant is also a relentless scorer who can create opportunities for himself while serving as a playmaker for teammates. Despite being only a sophomore, he already shows the ability to contribute across the board. He finished with 10 points.

Grant’s attack was multi-faced and spread out among its top five players, but if there’s one guy who could be selected just barely above the others it might be Harper-Grant. The sophomore guard showed he could get baskets from practically anywhere on the court and his ability to drive, draw contact, and then convert from the free throw line proved to be valuable for the co-champs of the PIL.

The third member of the Grant squad in the top five, it’s actually been Harper-Grant that has led the Generals in scoring so far this season. The 6-foot-3 guard does his damage in multiple ways, with the ability to get hot from three-point range or use his quick first step and athleticism to get past defenders to the hoop.

Harper-Grant is an athletic slasher who thrives in the open floor and consistently puts pressure on the defense. A natural scorer who loves to run in transition, he finished with 18 points and made his presence felt throughout the game. With his impact and production, Harper-Grant has emerged as one of the early favorites for our all-tournament team.

A solid defender and reliable free-throw shooter—going 5-for-6 at the line—he competes with a high motor and strong work ethic. Still only a sophomore, Harper-Grant has plenty of upside and the potential to develop into a high-level impact player. In a tough loss against Columbus (FL), Harper-Grant led the team in points with 20.

He is an athletic guard who brings energy and versatility on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he’s a dynamic slasher with a quick first step that allows him to blow by defenders and get downhill in a hurry. Once in the paint, Harper-Grant shows creativity with his finishes—using body control and footwork to score in traffic. Defensively, he takes pride in getting stops. He’s an excellent on-ball defender who consistently executes defensive assignments without fouling. His combination of quickness, strength and discipline makes him one of the more reliable perimeter defenders in his class. (KS)
