About Max

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a highly efficient player. I can score from behind the arc, mid-range, and take it to the basket. I play tough defense and react quickly. I have a high basketball IQ, am reliable, and an excellent team player. I make good decisions and take care of the ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe hard work and tenacity are essential to being great at anything. I am hardworking, focused, and act with integrity.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received the saber award for academics for the past three years.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have great leadership and teamwork skills. My high school and church require community service so I regularly give back to my community. The military component of my high school provides many leadership opportunities and I serve with the highest rank possible for my grade. I am a camp counselor at my school for basketball and etiquette. I work as a referee for the youth basketball program.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a school that has high level academics and a successful basketball program.

Hayes was Minnesota Selects standout player on Saturday afternoon against the Mad City Mambas . With good hands he was always in control of the ball and able to shake defenders and get an open look, nailing multiple three-pointers in the first half to give Select a commanding lead. His quickness also allowed him to get behind the defense and get up court for easy fastbreak layups. On defense he also showed off getting a couple of steals and going the length of the court for an easy bucket.
