Prep Hoops will provide various editions of true stock risers from the 2026-2028 classes. Let’s get into a list of “Next Up” risers from this season.
Terrance Walker Terrance Walker 6'1" | CG Raines | 2027 FL | PG | 2027 | Raines | @iamterrancewalk
The 6-0 rising freshman is fresh off a solid season that saw him find his scoring bag as a young guard with a versatile game. He averaged 6.9 ppg last season with plenty of time to fill out his frame and get even more dangerous overall. This kid is already a problem with the ball in his hands so watch out for notable growth.
Evan Roberts Evan Roberts 6'1" | PG Palmetto | 2026 State FL | PG | 2026 | Palmetto | @theevanroberts_
Roberts is a lengthy guard with a 6-1 frame that he uses to jolt around the court and hit defenders with flashy moves to score near the rim. The sophomore had a productive regular season averaging 22.5 ppg, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. This kid is a playmaker that is developing into a rising stud in the 2026 class.
Willie Brooks Willie Brooks 6'0" | CG Gainesville | 2027 FL | CG | 2027 | Gainesville | @Ihoopwillie5
Brooks is an interesting riser in the Gainesville area who’s showing off a solid jump shot and ability to be a reliable defender. The 2027 combo guard has a versatile overall game but the length and defensive IQ have been noted this off-season. Brooks should have a larger role as he has the summer period to prepare for next season.
Isaiah Newson Isaiah Newson 6'0" | PG North Fort Myers | 2026 FL | G | 2026 | North Fort Myers | @zay_Boe561
The rising 6-0 sophomore guard prospect has gotten off to a hot start in his first season with North Fort Myers as he’s leading the team in points per game. He also has an impressive steal output, averaging nearly 3.0 per game on the defensive end. Newson is a crafty guard who can get by defenders with good ball handles and head fakes where he can finish near the rim or dish it off to open teammates. What separates small guards is the ability to control the rock/offense and provide solid defense. Checks both boxes.
Gabriel Parks Gabriel Parks 6'1" | CG Process Academy | 2026 FL | G | Class of 2026 | Chiles | @GabrielParks26
One of the more reliable young shooters in the state deserves the recognition as he continues to improve his overall game over the off-season with Team Judah Nation . The 6-1 combo guard averaged over double digits last season (12.7) as he can score off the dribble, spot up, and get to the rim.
