Updated 2026 Rankings: SEPA New Names to Know

By now you are familiar with the prospects at the top of our 2026 rankings. Names like [player_tooltip player_id='1608275' first='Jordan' last='Dill'] (handful of DI offers), [player_tooltip player_id='1406792' first='Zaahir' last='Muhammad-Gray'] (offer from Georgia Tech) and [player_tooltip player_id='1608257' first='Ian' last='Williams'] (three DI offers) come to mind immediately.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tonight, we will dig deeper into the Pennsylvania Class of 2026 rankings and review four players who used the 2023-24 high school season to impress us and break into our 2026 rankings for the first time.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below is a review of four <em>“new”</em> southeastern Pennsylvania prospects who made their 2026 rankings debut in our latest update. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#94…</em>[player_tooltip player_id='2400237' first='Michael' last='Pereira'] – 6'6″ / Plymouth Whitemarsh / Penn Warriors / Power Forward:</strong> This long and agile athlete is a plus player on the interior at both ends of the court. On offense, Pereira can produce points via quick post ups, mid-range jumpers, dives to the cup and the offensive glass. He is an effective pick-n-roll big man too. At the defensive end, Pereira is a beast on the boards and is an intimidating shot blocker. Pereira's noteworthy performance from his sophomore season was a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds in PW's District 1-6A tourney win over Cheltenham.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#126…</em>[player_tooltip player_id='2400245' first='Ayden' last='Wise'] – 6'0″ / Pope John Paul II / PMT Warriors / Combo Guard:</strong> The 2023-24 season was Wise's first in the Pioneer Athletic Conference and this dribble drive wizard more than held his own. Wise owns crafty handles and fantastic instincts, so he does an impressive job of putting the ball on the floor to create opportunities for himself and teammates. He had a major impact in PJP's transition game as a distributing primary ball handler and lane filling wing. Wise's ability to post up smaller guards will catch opponents by surprise. In 2023-24 Wise averaged 7 points per night. He scored 19 points (1 three) in PJP's District 1-4A championship game win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#132…</em>[player_tooltip player_id='2400240' first='Packy' last='Doherty'] – 6'1” / Scranton Prep / [program_tooltip program_id='2245515' first='NEPA' last='Elite'] / Combo Guard:</strong> During the regular season, Doherty came off the SP bench and contributed 10.5 points per game on the strength of 45% shooting from deep. Then in the 4A state tournament, Doherty simply exploded onto the recruiting scene. In Scranton's 1st Round win over Fleetwood, this lefty dropped 40 points in only 19 minutes of run. In that epic performance, Doherty drilled 9 threes. He popped 4 more triples (20 pts. overall) in SP's quarterfinal upset of Neumann Goretti. Across Scranton Prep's four games in the 4A tourney, Doherty averaged 22.3 ppg. In addition to drilling threes, Doherty is a high IQ prospect with the ability to score or distribute off the bounce.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#187…</em></strong><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2400180' first='Sahin' last='Rodriguez'] </strong><strong>– 6'2” / Engineering &amp; Sciences / Combo Guard:</strong> Rodriguez is a versatile prospect with a well-rounded skill that enables him to contribute to every facet of the game. He can play both guard spots, shoot threes, score off the dribble, facilitate for teammates and is a plus rebounder / defender. Rodriguez posted a solid regular season stat line of 7.6 points and 3 boards per game. However, this instinctive and fast prospect elevated his game to another level during the 4A state tourney. Across Engineering's three game state tourney run, Rodriguez averaged 11.6 ppg. and 5 rebounds per game. In the 1^st Round of states, Rodriguez recorded a tourney high of 15 points (1 3PM) and grabbed 5 rebounds.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
