A player who has big time potential but hasn’t put it together yet, Pegues should have ample opportunity at Male this season to show how much his game has developed. AJ will join fellow Junior Trey Hillerich to form one of the biggest front court duos that the state has to offer. If Pegues shows an outside game to go with his around the basket ability, look for the Bulldogs to be a tough out in the loaded 7th region.

Pegues has made the move from Fern Creek to Louisville Male. AJ played one game at Scott County last season before going back to Louisville. With his size, Pegues should have a chance to make an impact in the 7th region title chase next season.

Pegues is a long and athletic forward whose future is very bright. Probably a better defender than offensive player right now, A’Darius can protect the rim at a high level and is a good rebounder when his motor is running. Pegues is a sleeper in Louisville’s loaded Junior class. With his length and skill set, AD can be a scholarship level player in college if he continues to develop.

Pegues had a tumultuous Sophomore year where he transferred to Scott County then returned to Fern Creek. As a result, he only played in 14 games for the Tigers but A’Darius has a ton of potential thanks to his size and ability to move. I’d be interested to see Pegues this summer or in an AAU game and see how much he’s developed since the last time I saw him.

Recently transferring from Eastern to Scott County, Pegues is a tall athlete who has the chance to develop into a nice player. A’Darius has been playing some international games this summer and fall and that should really facilitate his development for the season ahead.
