The 5’11, scoring guard is outstanding with the ball in this hands and can create offensive opportunities for himself or others. He showed deep range on his jump shot, while also being a creative finisher in the paint. Gaines is one of the top guards in a loaded 2027 class in Florida.

Gaines really impressed me against Gibbs, where he played some great defense and was able to get buckets throughout the entire contest. He has elite handles and great court vision, making him an impressive PG at a young age. He plays the game with a lot of poise, and likes to play the game fast but does it under control and with a purpose. He can score on all 3-levels but has a great shot from the outside, especially from behind the arc. Gaines has a ton of potential and will continue to see his stock rise throughout this year and his high school career.
