Not only did we have strong guard play represented, but a lot of these stud guards are currently Freshman. So, things are looking up in the Dakotas High School basketball scene. Let’s looks at five guards/wings from the 2027 class.
I’m exceptionally high on Jordan. After watching more of the games online, I’m even higher on him. He can control a game with his handle and three-level scoring ability. He’s looking even more athletic than the last time I saw him. I think he blossoms into one of the top-tier 2027’s in North Dakota.

I think Lincoln is confident in himself in a quiet manner. His game and aggression from three speak volumes. He needed to be accounted for defensively or threes were going to be raining.
Brooks is considered a very big guard, considering the circumstances of South Dakota basketball. Guards his size at 6’5” and strong don’t float around all the time. He can step out and shoot and used his body and size well in Fargo. He doesn’t look like a kid physically that should be classified as a guard, but he has the shooting and passing skills. Reads the floor well and will find others. He found ways to consistently score at the hoop.

At these events, I pay almost zero attention to the score of the game because I’m so locked-in on individual performances, approaches, and demeanors. But if I do remember right, Hudson’s team scored in the 90+ points in one of the games. He was a major part of that, and he’s a big-time playmaker and threat. But he does it in a simple and easy manner. Love his game.

Marum wasn’t a prospect that was on the top of my head directly after the event. Then I saw Michael tab him as a top performer. So I gave him a clear look, and his athleticism, movement, effort, and offensive capabilities really surprised. He can make a play and was ready to show that. Fluid and smooth offensive characteristics are thrown around loosely, but when talking about his game, we have full permission.
