Poet Davis Poet Davis 5'11" | SG Minneapolis South | 2024 State MN of Minneapolis South (6’0 SG, 2024). Davis is Minneapolis South basketball and he gave his team a chance with his four steals, six assists and nine makes getting him to 23 points. Davis will always have that fight. This is a young man that stayed when eight guys transferred out two years ago and earned a chance to play at state.
Daniel Freitag Daniel Freitag 6'1" | PG Breck | 2024 State #142 Nation MN of Breck (6’2 PG, 2024). Daniel did not have a great shooting/scoring game but he didn’t need to. Just the threat of his attack moved the entire Waseca defense in help leaving Breck players open all over. And Daniel found them for ten assists plus scored a dozen points and grabbed six boards.
Grayson Grove Grayson Grove 6'9" | PF Alexandria Area | 2024 State #171 Nation MN of Alexandria (6’9 PF, 2024). Minneapolis South is a small team and they became smaller this year because of the injury to Romero Walker Romero Walker 6'7" | PF Minneapolis South | 2024 State MN . So this was a game where Grayson was needed to dominate the paint and he did that. Constantly. He offered great post position, a great target, and he caught to finish at the cup numerous times. Grayson scored 26 points with 15 rebounds on 12 of 20 shooting.
Isaiah Johnson Isaiah Johnson 6'7" | SF Totino-Grace | 2024 State #135 Nation MN of Totino-Grace (6’7, forward, 2024). It was not a great game for Isaiah but a great finish. On a day where turnovers and contested shots were the them for all, Johnson broke open a one score game with five scoring possessions that included three scores at the rim, an assist, and a made foul shot. His end of game plays gave the Eagles the edge. Johnson had 13 points on 6 of 14 shooting with six boards.
Lorenzo Levy Lorenzo Levy 5'10" | PG Minnehaha Academy | 2024 State MN of Minnehaha Academy (6’1 guard, 2024). Levy was the best player on the floor in the Redhawks win over Pequot Lakes. The game was ugly at times but Levy had a couple scoring runs that put his team ahead in a way that their defense was surely going to hold. A three followed by a runner was the biggest stretch and Levy rebounded really well defensively> He had 18 points and 10 boards making four threes.
Chase Thompson Chase Thompson 6'8" | PF Alexandria | 2025 State #216 Nation MN of Alexandria (6’8 PF, 2025). Thompson continues to expand his game in a way that has made him more versatile. First of all, he’s one of the better passers at forward you will see. Chase said in the post game that he was always passing to his brother Treyton Thompson as a kid and Treyton is a seven footer so passing to Grayson comes naturally. And Thompson had eight assists. He’s also become a better rebounder and he had a dozen of those plus scored 18 points including two threes. Shot 8 of 12 for the game.
Jaeden Udean Jaeden Udean 6'2" | SG DeLaSalle | 2027 State MN of DeLaSalle (6’2, sg, 2027). Udean’s four three point make run changed the game for the Islanders against Orono. It took his team from down some scores to up two scores and changed the full momentum. He then hit two threes in the second half with four foul shots made between them. That ten point run also changed the game momentum. Udean scored 26 points in all with six three point makes and six of seven foul shots made.
