stood out in the way he controlled the tempo and had a strong command of the offense for Don Bosco while also serving as a steady scoring threat, particularly out on the perimeter throughout the course of this matchup against Seton Hall Prep. Brown found his rhythm and found plenty of success knocking down a number of outside shots off the bounce and as a spot up shooter. Finding success from other areas on the floor as well, Brown also displayed what his mid range pull up game looks like while also mixing in some strong attacks of the basket for tough and physical drives.

Brown, a shifty lead guard out of Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey, stood out with his ability to push the pace in transition and to score over size in the paint with creativity. One of the more impressive playmakers in the gym, he had great burst with the ball in his hands and the ability to get to his spots off the bounce. He has impressive wiggle, stops and starts quickly, and has terrific floor vision playing out of ball screens. He’s a creativity paint scorer that has a variety of scoring moves and counters around the rim. Defensively, he’s a strong on-ball defender that makes life difficult for opposing ball-handlers.

Brown is a shifty, undersized point guard who has awesome change of speed and change of direction capabilities. He uses his quickness to blow by defenders and then make plays for his teammates, but he can also elevate and finish at the hoop. On defense, he defends for 94 feet and hounds ball handlers with his active hands. I could imagine a D3 school taking a chance on him because of his speed, quickness, and ability to handle the ball under pressure. I didn’t see him shoot the three ball, but that would certainly be an important part to figure out for him if he wants to play college ball.

Brown came up big for the Ironmen down the stretch of the season and should make plays throughout July. The 5’10 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and finishes craftily around the rim. Brown has a good touch in the mid-range and rarely forces shots in the half court. He is a tough on-ball defender and sets his feet before he shoots. Brown’s ability to make plays on and off the ball will help his stock in a big way over the next couple of months.
