Betsey averaged 20 points in his two games at the NPSI and shot the ball very well as usual. It’s his ability to create off the dribble and get his own shot that makes him tough to cover. The form on his shot is effortless and he was able to get himself open and make defenses pay on both Thursday and Sunday. Cincinnati fans should be very excited about Betsey’s arrival to campus, as he will give the Bearcats a dangerous scorer from day one.
The Arizona State commit got hot from the field on Friday, finishing with an efficient 15 points-including 4 threes. He never forced things and was able to put it on the floor and either get to the rim or find open teammates. He has good size for the perimeter and can play with the ball in his hands. He has the tools to be a high level defender and when he locks in on that side of the ball it makes things very hard for his opponent.
An athletic slashing wing guard, Pasha was able to get to the rim seemingly whenever he wanted on Thursday. He did a good job of both finishing plays and kicking out to open shooters on the wing. Thanks to athleticism, Pasha plays bigger than he is and is also a factor on the glass on both ends. Teams looking for a scorer who can get to the rim and also create a bit would be wise to take a look at the Philadelphia native.
Okku Federicko
Okku Federicko
The younger brother of Pitt forward Federicko Fedricko, Okku looks poised to make an impact at South Carolina next season. A legitimate 6-foot-8 wing prospect, he has fantastic size for the perimeter. He’s a versatile wing who plays with the ball in his hands a lot with Drive Academy. Fedricko can score on all three levels and has a very fluid looking jumper that he can either hit off the dribble or as a catch-and-shoot guy. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Federicko’s game is his versatility as a defender. He spent time guarding opposing point guards as well as opposing bigs and looked equally comfortable doing both.
Toms Linis
Toms Linis
In a time where both shooting and toughness are being greatly valued, Toms Linis brings both to the floor. The 6-foot-5 shooter made defenses pay from beyond arc throughout the long weekend. His floor game was also impressive, as he made the right read as a a passer more often than not and kept things moving. He understands how to get his own shot within the offense and showed a nose for the ball as a rebounder as well.
