Aguino’s dominance in the first quarter put Volcano Vista in a early advantage, followed up throughout the game. He’s a high efficiency scorer, consistently getting buckets in traffic with advanced footwork. Staying true to the fundamentals such as securing interior position, granting over the top passes for layups and drawn fouls. Aguino knocked down a pair of threes early on, bringing a very high release point on his shot that is hard to block. Volcano Vista sits at the forefront of the state’s power rankings.
Brown’s combination of handle and shooting have made him a potent two-way weapon in the backcourt. Effective picking up opposing guards full court, he is a pest on the defensive side. Often tasked with bringing the ball up the floor, the guard possessed immense responsibility setting up the halfcourt offense. Quite possibly his best shooting night of the season, Brown was efficient knocking down threes off the bounce or from a standstill.
THe freshman forward is a great decision maker out of the gates, excellent at sending entry passes for post scorers. His quick instincts and notable physicality have allowed him to bully opponents on drives. Lunn was given the difficult task of matching up against star prospect, Jalin Holland Jalin Holland 6’5″ | SG Los Lunas | 2025 State #85 Nation NM , where he had immense upside of his defensive potential. No doubt that Lunn will be an impactful prospect at the next level, already one of the most refined underclassmen athletes in the state.
An excellent complementary shotmaker, Gonzales stayed ready to let threes fly off the catch, possessing a notably quick release. Should an over aggressive closeout approach, the guard could attack downhill for finishes at the rim or for kickout opportunities.

Holland is an incredible talent, stringing together plenty of powerful dunks and off the dribble jumpers. His high release point coupled with positional size at the 2 has opened up his three level scoring upside. All too physical and skilled one on one, Holland was the constant recipient of doubles and triple teams within the halfcourt. Although off to a slow start, Holland maintained confidence in his game, leveraging his skillset to draw in opponents and find open shotmakers.
