Louisiana Top 250 Expo: Team Hawks Highlights/Reports
The Prep Hoops Louisiana Top 250 Expo wrapped up in late August but there’s still more footage and content to come. Here’s a closer look at one of the event’s 10 teams, Team Hawks, which included one of the state’s top prospects.
T.J. Collins — Bonnabel 2018 6’2 PG
Collins is the 5th-ranked player in the Prep Hoops Louisiana’s 2018 rankings and he looked the part throughout the day. He had stretches of being completely un-guardable getting to the rim for buckets or pulling up from long range after a series of impressive dribble combinations. Collins was also an excellent distributor throughout the expo and had several highlight reel passes.
Moses Ngodock — Northshore 2019 6’7 F
Ngodock could be a coveted prospect for a low-major Division I team if he finds the right fit. He’s a strong asset in the paint as both a rebounder and shot-blocker and he plays with good intensity and energy on most nights. While defense and rebounding may be his calling card on the next level, Ngodock also has a ton of potential offensively. He’s a consistent finisher in the paint who can play above the rim and is also beginning to look comfortable knocking down jumpers from midrange to 3-point territory.
Salle Wilson — Dunham 2020 6’4 G
Wilson has really good size for his position and played his best ball when the tempo of the game was at its highest. He’s very comfortable in the open floor pushing the pace and did a good job finding teammates in rhythm where they could finish the play.
Carlos Stewart Jr. — Dunham 2021 5’9 G
Stewart was one of the youngest prospects in attendance but that didn’t stop him from making his presence felt throughout the day. He continually placed himself in good spots moving well without the ball and knocked down a healthy amount of shots from long range while making a few buckets in the paint as well.
